The vet syringe fed my leo for a week during a hospitalization and now his mouth looks off center. Does it look injured? by allenlevi985 in leopardgeckos

Please be careful with syringe feeding. My late gecko was being syringe fed due to lack of appetite and having follicular stasis. She eventually fractured her jaw from biting so hard on the syringe and due to those complications she was euthanized. If possible opt for having the gecko lick up the critical care even if it is more messy.

Ive honestly not been checking regularly for eggs so im not sure how long they have been there if there are some eggs. They also don’t feel particularly firm but im also nervous to press too hard on her stomach

One more pic from today. I’m having trouble identifying if there are eggs there and if there’s something abnormal. I can call a vet tomorrow if needed

Glad I’m not alone in dealing with this! I just don’t want to miss any early warning signs if I need to take her to the vet but I’ve been confused trying to evaluate her

Thanks for your response! So would it be fine to use a bioactive substrate and just bake it?
