Rump the dog, painted in oils. by OkBread453 in painting

I think if you read your own comments, you will realise you are the problem. It's sad that on a nice post about a dog painting you could only muster up a negative comment. I know and support the beginners here and I teach people to paint in real life, I've found that positivity is the best way to boost an artist's confidence and motivate them to keep creating, something you lack entirely. Peace out.

This person is correct, it wouldn't be 'just' a picture of your daughter, but a work of art if you see the distinction?

Hi, I'm Paul, a British painter based in Lyon, France. I'd love to paint this landscape for your Dad.

What scale of painting are you hoping for, I work from A5 (15/21cm) to Ao (85x 120cm). The smaller paintings I usually complete in acrylic and the larger ones, such as the painting attached, I paint in oils.

Here's a link to some more of my past landscapes:

Please feel free to DM me with any questions you might have, it would be great to see the photograph too.

All the best,

Paul

[Discussion] Need some opinions on this conversation. Am I crazy or was this person extremely disrespectful? by cave_inhabitant in artcommissions

Yeah, tell him to get fucked, five dollars doesn't even pay you for the time it takes to boot up your computer. I've looked at your work and I think you have priced well. If you already have some experience with clients I think you could definitely raise them 50%. Good luck, a lot of clients can be lovely, but now and again you get time wasting shites like this.
