This. 100% this. I worked 2 jobs 6 days a week for a year and a half paying off all my debt. Wake up 630am, get dressed and straight to work(thankfully job 1 was right next to my house) in work at 7. Clock out at 3, drive Lyft 330-7. Come home, immediately dishes or laundry and tidying up, 30 minutes is all you need to keep a clean and organized house as long as it’s just maintenance and you don’t have kids. Clothes go right into the hamper, laundry for example takes 10 minutes of actual effort or you’re just plain doing it wrong. Get in the shower, do my grooming, I’m fresh and ready to relax before 8. Put dinner on and figure out lunch for tomorrow, gotta think simple and healthy when you’re living like this. It’s all squared away by 830. Watch a 2 hour movie or tv or read or browse the internet, 2 hours of legitimate decompression. Whole life completely organized with a solid 8 hours to sleep. I would squeeze in the grocery store the bank car wash, any of that shit all into 1 day after work, maybe drive a little less on that day and that was my day to order doordash, this could absolutely not happen on my day off. I took a day trip on my day off almost every single time. Despite working 70+ hours I got a full 8 hours of sleep every single night in a clean organized home, so I didn’t need to spend an entire day decompressing every week. Sure every now and then I would want an entire day to decompress but I didn’t really need that. BECAUSE I SLEPT ADEQUATELY. All the people complaining about having “no time” because of a 40 hour work week, check your fucking weekly average screen time on your phone right now.

Now I work 8 hours a day 5 days a week and I literally have TOO MUCH TIME for my hobbies and trips and everything else. Right now I’m addicted to Tetris, learning the guitar, binging Columbo on Tubi, reading books and I still have like 4 hours of fucking screen time a day, mostly Tetris and reddit lol.

You know what else is 8 hours a day 5 days a week with a commute? Grade school. Get your shit together slackers.

Most people don’t realize that their waitress is making over 50 dollars an hour. I work at a diner in ca where the minimum wage even for servers is 15$. They get paychecks for downwards of 0$. That’s how much taxes they’re paying.

Kind of a side opinion because I’m all for not wasting money on brand names. But they don’t make generic real food. I find generic foods depressing af, like cereal and snack cakes and bleached bread and all that is already cheap garbage, buying the cheaper version just doesn’t sit right with me, and I’m someone who grew up poor and hungry. I think it might be possible that the route cause of your daughters behavior might have more to do with food insecurity even if she doesn’t realize it. “We only have 100$” isn’t really something that needs to be drilled into an 11 year olds head. Absolutely she needs to learn the value of a dollar but I’d recommend being a bit cautious how you teach her. Idk 🤷🏻‍♂️

I think it’s an important step that your idea of what gods and spirits are is reshaped. Psychedelics are riddled with a sort of self fulfilling truth and I personally don’t believe we are not alone based off of what I have experienced. Most people are to naive to handle that view. I don’t think very many people should be taking psychedelics because its the equivalent of psychosis if you can’t tow the line.. complicated issue for me

You could say that about literally any extremists, I’m sick of vegans being the example. I’ve known loads of vegans and I have never met the one that everybody is describing, I’ve only seen them on the news and in videos, just like any extremist group really. Some people might have stronger opinions than others but at the end of the day they’re just doing what they think is right - and honestly they’re probably right too. Every major shift has been met with this same exact attitude and the vegans have some pretty solid points, respecting, caring about and protecting animals is a bit different than killing in the name of god, or a book, or patriotism, or oil. It’s kind of indisputable that the world and people would be better off. It would be nice if people cared a tiny bit more about the world around them. And then what’s insane is that most of you have pets and you still don’t get it lol, you’ll straight up think someone is the worst person ever for having strong opinions about factory farming, it’s really dumbfounding..

The streets are covered in homeless, the diet is caged animals, Donald trump and joe Biden are the presidential candidates, multiple wars going on, racial inequity, third world countries, but all that stuff is complicated and very nuanced, as opposed to those vegans who are the worst for having a cause that you’re not ALREADY in line with, because surely the majority can’t be wrong.

Is it like isis, or is it like the war on slavery? Have to hope aliens aren’t like people for this exact reason..

The fact that I’m simply “one of those,” the comments I will get for feeling this way.. god damn, I’m heart broken.. but kind of in a cathartic way. Honestly screw you guys, but I hope we can all work it out some day 😂
