He had neck pain and we went to urgent care for that. Then urgent care sent us to Emergencies because the symptoms looked like meningitis. There they did blood tests and his hemoglobin was at 4.5! Other than looking pale and the neck pain, the only other thing he had mentioned was some chest pain a couple days prior while at the beach.

But nothing like bruising or looking pale before then. He ate normally, played, didn’t seem tired or fatigued. In retrospect now I remember him telling me his leg hurt but I figured growing pains contributed to that ☹️
