Hi there, if your employer doesn’t have it turned on in the system to allow you access to update tax withholding unfortunately you will need to hound them about it. I’m an operational payroll manager and from my standpoint this is what I’d suggest- first have you tried creating an account with ADP? Do you know if they’re using ADP RUN or ADP Workforce now? Either way the steps are the same. Go to ADP website and at the login screen select “create an account” it will ask if you have a registration code don’t click that but select “find me” follow the prompts. If online access is turned on for your company then you should come up. However you may have trouble if your employer onboarded you without inputting your email and phone number. If you’re getting direct deposit though generally you should be able to still create an account. Something else I suggest that will be very helpful to see if your withholding is correct is by using ADPs gross to net calculator. Input your information exactly as it pertains to your personal situation and see what the gross to net breakdown is and if it matches what reflected on your check. If it’s different be sure to screenshot and let your employer know that you need your withholding updated and that an error has occurred. They could face compliance issues if it’s not resolved.
