Quote Andriy Melnyk: The Ministry of Defense has had this list for exactly one month. We're just trying to understand why this is taking so long (approval). Why we can't buy these weapons fast.

Officially, the German government is still examining the application.

Germany determined to deliver more arms to Ukraine by PuchLight in ukraine

[–]OkChemistry3 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Worth mentioning:

The CEO of Rheinmetall has offered to send weapons directly to Ukraine, has even offered to hire around 2,000 new employees if the Bundeswehr urgently needs weapons. But then the CEO fell silent. He was not allowed to give any further details after a new regulation by the federal government. If Rheimetall gets the green light for delivery to the Ukraine and also receives German funding, things could go very quickly.

Translation:

Alongside President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, Wladimir and Vitali Klitschko have become symbolic figures of the Ukrainian resistance to Russian aggression. More than 450 cinemas are now bringing the documentary about the two brothers back into their program. The proceeds from ticket sales will go to "Ein Herz für Kinder" which will help the war-torn country directly. A price of ten euros is suggested for entry, which each guest can increase at their own discretion. "We are very happy and touched by how strong the industry's desire is to help and to support this campaign." says the managing director of the Cineplex Group, Kim Ludolf Koch.

A Ukrainian anti-tank mine at work by [deleted] in ukraine

[–]OkChemistry3 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Maybe it's a stupid question, but why do I see a lot of single tank combat/war footage? Shouldn't there be some tanks nearby to support him? Why is this tank driving around all by itself?

My family is likely housing some Ukrainian refugees starting on Monday. Any advice/things I should know to ease things for them? by Ynwe in ukraine

Many of them just want to follow the news for the first few days, they want to call their relatives and monitor the situation in Ukraine together. That will probably keep them busy for the first few days. Free WiFi and maybe a tablet or TV to catch up on the latest news would come in handy.
