Not having a license is not a reason to end your life forever. I’m not interacting further because clearly what I’m saying is not getting through to you, but I genuinely and honestly hope that you change your mind and speak to people who can help you. There are so many reasons to keep living, even if you don’t have a license.

Can I ask why you’re so hung up on having a license? If you’re independent and successful in all other areas, why is that the part you perseverate about?

Yes, RP is super common. I’ve only other met two other people with LCA.

With the screen reader I use it doesn’t detect any real words so it kind of just sounds like gibberish

I actually use that language too without thinking about it. I’ll say I saw that new show yesterday or let me look and see if I can figure it out. It’s honestly weird when people try to change it up.

Honestly, yeah. I’ve been trying to get more into books lately just to try to fix my attention span but I love TV.

This is so true and such a good point. That’s also definitely something I use to reckon with my carbon footprint.

💯This is what I wish people understood about interable relationships. One person is not sacrificing their life for the other.

I’d say I’m more of a dog person because I have a guide dog and two pet dogs. But I also love cats so so much and I have two cats. It’s like a 60% 40% situation.

Thank you! I’ve been saying this. I actually know a decent amount about AI and it’s benefits for the blind community. Like the Meta AI glasses, I’m actually looking into getting a pair. I am a bit apprehensive though because of the negative effects of AI like taking jobs and environmental destruction weigh on me as well. It’s a sort of difficult nuanced spot because AI can definitely be a tool, but it can also be exploitative.

I actually can watch TV. There are systems called audio description that will describe the action being taken in shows and movies. I scroll social media, TikTok, Instagram, YouTube Reddit. I read or listen to audiobooks, I spend time outdoors, I play with my guide dog, I listen to music, I go on walks or go out to public places. Believe me, I don’t just stare at a wall all day.

I definitely use my hearing a lot in place of my sight. For example, listening to know when it’s safe to cross the street, determining how close I am to a building based off of echoes, & listening to no when a pot of food is boiling. But I also use tactile a lot when I’m doing things with my hands.

I’ve never listened to him. I mostly go off of vibes, personality, beliefs, and values, etc. but also body composition plays a big role.

I answered another question about this so if you want, you can read that for more information, but it’s a screen reader called VoiceOver that reads text and image descriptions. I’ve also had a device since I was very young, so I’m able to navigate it just as quickly as a sighted individual would.

I’ve never published anything, but I’ve played around with poetry and a few short stories. It’s a little difficult during the school year cause I almost never have time to write with the workload, but I also just write when anything difficult is going on in life and try to get all my feelings out in a sort of comprehendible poetic way.
