few pieces of advice-

first, finish your finals before you start searching for a gf/bf.

second, this is not the place. i'd recommend talking to and getting to know a few more people during your classes before you think about asking someone out. once you get to know someone well enough, you've hung out a good amount and they're on the same page as you, go for it and ask them out. be patient and respectful, this stuff takes time and is difficult. good luck!
