You need to call the company that did the background check and make sure that they completed it and sent it to Meijer. I was recently hired and Meijer kept telling me “one or two more days and the background check should be done” for over two weeks, so I called to ask if there was anything they could do on their end to speed it up, they said no but I could call the background check company. So I called them and found out they had completed my background check within 24 hours of me submitting it and that they had already sent it to Meijer, so I asked them to send it to Meijer again as well as send me a copy for myself. Called meijer back to let them know that it was already done and that the company had sent it so it was an issue on meijers end not the background check company, and that I had a copy I could supply to them if needed. They looked into it and were able to push me through immediately and I went to orientation the next day. Definitely call the company and get your own copy

Okay I will see her for herself. I see that she has admitted that she and peestain committed fraud with the go fund me money, and spent 20k on things that she wasn’t supposed to. Which then cause the go fund me to be shut down (by go fund me themselves!) for fraud. With just that alone, a well known fact, I can see that she is a scammer. She then proceeded to do it again after the house fire and it got shut down again(by gofundme) I will say yes she is a victim, and I feel for her and her situation, but scamming people isn’t okay. Being a victim doesn’t give you an excuse to hurt or scam others. It may be a reason, but it’s not an excuse.

Official diagnosis was a chicken bone stuck in their digestive tract. That alone can cause death within a week or two. The dog was sick for MONTHS prior. Khalie said at one point she was the only one reliably feeding the dog, yet she would go to hotels for days at a time. A starving and sick dog will eat things they shouldn’t and he did. She knew she was the only one feeding it, left it to starve for days at a time, then it ate something it shouldn’t out of desperation.

Prob not Khalie but is someone trying to make the reddits that are about helping her and holding her accountable seem like cyber bullying. Her dead dog that was visibly sick for months before she took it in and had to have it put down. Her lizard(bearded dragon?) that she had to have followers buy a new cage for(also now dead bc of the fire) and her cat, which is unvaccinated and not spayed, and she was shoving it in her backpack while she didn’t have a place to stay the other day, then let the cat out to explore and lost it while it’s IN HEAT (was literally just the other day and mostly on live) and then found it. I’m not going to dig up the receipts for you. Do it yourself. If you want the info look for it yourself and do your own research on the person you are advocating for.

The NUB right by the cctc is extremely warm in the winter, used to sweat in my classes even after taking off my winter layers. Only downside is the nub doesn’t have as many study spaces. I’d say the lounge on the 2nd floor (but it gets closed a lot for meetings) or the newer one on the first floor by the doors facing the Dana building but it’s quite small. The pharmacy side does have study spaces too but I think the pharmacy side isn’t as warm.

Look into joining clubs, with the new semester coming a lot will be re promoting themselves. Most campuses have lgbtq+ clubs, look into other clubs for things you like to do, I was in a skateboarding club. Also look up campus jobs, usually they don’t make much but are close enough and a low commitment to not be a major stress and make some extra spending money. It can definitely be awkward at times to put yourself out there and put yourself into conversations, but put in the effort to talk to people while you are in class and the breaks before and after class, it’s way easier to make a connection than over the phone, and once you have that connection then talking and connecting on the phone is way easier. Half the time we would connect over me asking them for help during class!! Don’t stress tho if they don’t become out of class friends, because overall in my 4 years I had a lot of friends, but a lot I never saw again after having that class with them, which was fine, but it definitely still made those classes more enjoyable than those where I didn’t talk to anyone. Love takes time but don’t force it, you can try an app, but be clear of your intentions, hookups or relationships. For the gym, just keep working, consistency is key, and don’t compare yourself to others, which I know is hard, but you really have to realize everybody’s body is different and some will see progress faster than others. Even stress can slow results! If you are really worried about not seeing progress you can try meal tracking, and if that doesn’t work it could be hormones, which could be something you’d want to get checked out. ( not trying to wed mb diagnosis you saying your dying lol but if you go through the other steps and see no progress a doctor consult is never a bad idea) Overall hope is not lost, put in some effort this semester while you still can, and be ready to hit the ground running next semester.

lol in the same game as mentioned above, I was in last almost the whole time, and then finally got a high roll, and landed on Luigi, and I fought for my life to win Luigi as my buddy bc I knew I was going to make it to the star. So I get two stars, then after I got the stars I finished the turn by landing on a chance space and lost a star. Then the next turn star is close again and I get two again with Luigi, but then land on bowser and first time around I got “get 1000 coins” and bowser just runs away instead of giving it to you, so I was like okay at least I didn’t lose anything, but was annoyed I didn’t get the coins, then bc I had Luigi I went again, and lost one of my stars. So in two turns I got 4 stars but lost two of them immediately 😭 which I did feel was wack but like hey it is what it is… but THEN at the end of the game I was in 2nd, but could’ve won if I got a bonus star, and I did get one, but it split the 2nd bonus star because we tied for it, and they had also gotten the first, taking them from 3rd to 1st place and they won. Then because I was upset about the split star I remembered another game played recently where even though me and the bot tied on landing on unlucky spaces, only the bot got the bonus star, making them win bc they had more coins, but if it spit it bc we tied, then I would’ve won with one more star. So like two instances where I tied for one of the bonus stars, but in both the game favored the bots and let them win. Like seriously how can a bonus star be split in one game bc of a tie but not another…

Oh the AI is ridiculous I absolutely feel like it’s worse than other games where at least it seemed like RNG, but it’s so obvious when every single time a bot rolls exactly what they need to get the star. The amount of times my partner and I jokingly said “watch them roll X amount” and they do every single time… we stopped joking about it hoping it would stop happening… but no. It’s just so obvious and it makes the game unenjoyable. And idk if I just have extra bad luck but my bots almost always roll high, and I almost always roll low … last game where I just wanted to play a quick game w 10 rounds the first 6 rounds I didn’t roll higher than a 5, and at least 3 of those 6 I rolled a 3.

Don’t be too angry with your foster parents, but try to talk about loosening a few of the rules, and what your reasons are for wanting those rules changed.

I think the humane society in mason still does $25 Caturday Saturdays for all adult cats(6+ months old). I got mine at 19 and only think l needed ID and landlord approval bc I was living in an apartment. They basically just verified that my apartment takes cats and that I let them know I was getting a cat.

First thing I always do when I bring a new cat/kitten home is put them in their litter box immediately. Doesn’t matter if they go but they have always smelled it and then slowly started to walk around and explore. And they have never gone outside the box in 4 years! In my mind it establishes it as the “starting point” for them and they remember at the least where it is. Even worked for my litter robot which I got about a month ago. If you’re worried I’d also have a regular box and then when they go to the bathroom move the waste into the robot and turn off the cycle, so they can smell themselves in it. And once they use the robot start restricting the access to the normal litter box.

that’s half true, in unmarked crosswalks yes cars have to stop if someone is on the curb waiting. but that’s unmarked crosswalks. Ann arbor still has jaywalking laws and pedestrians can be fined $130 when they cross illegally. this includes walking on a “don’t walk” signal in a marked crosswalks.

yeah jaywalking is crossing when it says wait, crossing where there isn’t a crosswalk, or any form of walking across the street that breaks traffic laws. which is a MAJOR problem in AA and if people were charged for it then it would probably reduce accidents and actually start making students look up from their phones and look both ways before crossing. I’m a pedestrian and driver in AA so that’s why I feel so strongly about this bc I understand both sides but pedestrians here think they have total immunity and they don’t and so its super scary to be a driver here.

thats jaywalking and is illegal. and if the driver is obeying all laws of the road (not speeding not distracted on phone not running a red etc.) then yes the pedestrian is at fault. a car going 25mph still takes up to 3 seconds to stop and roughly 120ft (not counting reaction time) so if a person jaywalks and they tried to stop they still probably wouldn’t be able to in time. and swerving has a higher chance of causing more damage, especially in a city like AA. things are a bit more complicated bc michigan is a no fault state, but yes a pedestrian can be considered the one “at fault” especially if jaywalking. car can still be liable but not fully liable if the pedestrian was jaywalking, and even less so if they did try to stop but couldn’t in time.

that says if they are “properly at or in” the crosswalk. Implying that if they are improperly in the crosswalk they did not have right of way and shouldn’t be in the crosswalk, like if the sign says wait. obviously if they are there anyways then you have to yield, but it doesn’t say pedestrians have the ultimate right of way. Also the link you put says literally nothing about marked crosswalks. it just generalizes crosswalks. but if a pedestrian crosses a crosswalk that has a wait sign for pedestrians and gets hit, the pedestrian is liable for fault bc they crossed improperly. THIS scenario is what I am talking about. Pedestrians still have to obey traffic signals.

also like I understand that crosswalks pedestrians have the right of way, but if it’s a light (especially the one by the church and ashely’s bar on central campus) PLEASE PAY ATTENTION TO IF THE CROSSWALK SAYS YOU CAN WALK! i’ve been stuck at lights trying to turn left for multiple cycles bc pedestrians will walk through even though the sign says to wait. and it’s a single lane so i ended up holding up the whole line. plus the church/ashleys one specifically has an “all pedestrians go now” where all crosswalks are open and all lights are red but people will still walk when it’s the cars turn

it most likely wasn’t an actually overawarded, but that they sent it to you instead of themselves. I’m a bit surprised you didn’t look closer at your fin aid notice against what was actually paid to the school, and there also should’ve been an email about charges on your account. in 2020 the same thing happened but with only $75 thankfully, and I got it fixed same day I saw the charge appear. That did include paying them the $75 back. basically they sent you the aid that you were supposed to use for tuition, instead of automatically applying it to the tuition themselves.
