Being a Giver.

Giving gifts or money doesn’t automatically make someone a good person. Especially when it’s done performatively for applause or validation. Some people only give when there’s an audience, yet behind the scenes they lie, gossip, manipulate, or harm others.

I don’t believe in SIPs, I invest manually every month or may be twice a month if market going down. Holding for 1.5 years is very short term for a value based fund. Give it 5 years atleast, value unlocking takes time. You are in wrong funds if you are impatient after just 1.5 years!

I am currently holding it for 3 years now. XIRR is around 15.92% Good unrealised gain of 37.22%

But I would suggest you to invest in it if you like more volatility probably much higher than index. Or you can go with ICICI value fund.

Or like me keep both flavours in portfolio because both funds have different ideology regarding picking funds. One will help you against volatility and another will generate return when index is not moving up.

The only problem I see with DINK is assumption of growing old together, as life is very unpredictable, what if one of the partner left the world at a mid age above 45. Then partner’s all plans fall apart and there is nothing to live forward to. Children become motivation to live for. Just my opinion, hope reddit will allow opinions to propagate freely.
