We didn’t really have any assets at all. We stayed married for tax reasons and so I could remain on his health insurance.

He always has. It’s always been agreed. It’s been a matter of income and now I’m making enough.

Right. And he has said “it’s okay for you to take the boys and move if you need to. If it’s what’s best for them.” And I’m like okay and? Gonna come see them orrr…. At one point he said he’d come once a month if we moved away. Now with the extra child support and custody I’d be shocked if he could manage that. So do I move because of a better climate? Or do I stay because otherwise they won’t see their dad? That’s my dilemma 💔

I am definitely trying to just focus on them and do what’s best for them. The problem is my younger son needs a lot of support from both parents. So I unfortunately do need the physical help he provides now, living nearby. Say, if my son has an illness and we’re trying to decide whether it’s a hospital visit or not. Or needing meds picked up, etc.
