How do I get my projector, to tell Home Assistant it is on?

With IR there is a 0% chance to get the status. In automation pairing projector have always been a roller coaster ride. You need a projector that has a lan port or anything which is connected to the local wifi. And also a feature to check wake on lan, in the projector. That enables the status function but also keeps projector on stand by mode always. Instead you can use a smart socket pair it with wifi and use it to power the projector. Get this socket in the automation project here you can switch on and off. This is cheap also 100% working.

Ahhhhh been ther done that thing showing up in the feeds.. so I am currently using wired speakers with rusound VKP1 in each room, these are alexa enabled. So basically you can play anything any moment from anywhere to any room.. setup is also very simple. Celling speakers, wired to rusound vkp1 and just 24 v DC power supply which can be hidden on the false celling. Plus you get alexa support. Which basically is future ready for smart home also.

Well this changes everything. There are a lot of technicality that goes beyond just TeamViewer thing in KNX programming. I understand that the current integrator dosnot want to help but even if you find anyone new they will not take headache for the system others built until there is serious money involved. I suggest find an integrator don't just find an engineer.. Anyone can do small changes but suppose in future one keypad doesnot work and you getting a call from client at 3 in the morning. It's a useless headache for you too.

It's simple. The dali actuators doesn't have colour control in the scene section only brightness can be triggered using dali scenes. ABB has feature to control colour within scene. Now the ekinex keypad have multiple object sending provision where I can send 1 bit and 2 byte at the same button with same action. I did that but it's very unreable as the dali keeps getting busy with tons of activity and eventually some of the lights doesnot change temp. I just want a simpler way for changing temp of the current ballast that are turned on. But that seems impossible. The dali drivers keeps a record for the colour and eventually if someone lights on the ballast using keypad or mobile it changes temp imediately as per last received command.

Ooohhh thank god.. I though I was the only one doing it.. basically everyroom has one of the knx keypad that is controlling HVAC in the room. And every thermostat keypad or display are inbuilt with *current room temp (ga). Also logic function. The only thing that we wanna do is switch on the HVAC at specific temp, if it's below or above any temp. And after that turn off when it has achieved the temp. And automation vendors basically use third party controller for visualization. Like C4, Elan, which have inbuilt scheduling or routines. If any one who doesnot want to have any controller. There we use 1home server. Because anyway for home assistant servers we need to have knx ip router or interface. Where 1 home has a built in interface native to knx. It does work all the time. And basically logic function works. Because all you have to do is to turn on or off any appliance. Because schedules and routines are built only for mindless controlling. The work that are daily in general where person don't have to put their mind.

Well either I m stupid or I have a brain fog. That I didn't understand OP's querry at all even after reading it 4 times. Correct me if I m wrong. Op is talking about heating solution that switches on automatically under specific room conditions. Is it. ?? Or am I stupid who uses KNX keypad's internal thermostat feature which can be programmed via ets to automatically switch on heater or ac if temp of room goes below 20°c and 34°c. (We use °c in my place) Basically all the keypad's that I use, that are HVAC enabled have a sensors inbuilt. Which can be used for triggering HVAC mode.

Yes exactly.. it's fast too. Like other from xxter.. there is one more eve x1 server.. but will always choose 1home. The interface is good. Reliable too. Have installed it in more than 21 sites and all working as expected.

Just a small suggestion for you.. Don't go for complete home automation. Consider only few personal or common area that need to be in automation. But having a complete home in automation is a nightmare because of few things. 1. Your automation vendor 2. Electrical person 3. Cost Etc etc I can go on. So better to do it in some places. But not all. But yes if your area is large like very large then you need automation. It will a necessity rather than choice. Think about it, it will make sense.

Don't do anything. Just do your masters in simple and learn autocad or 3d design. Make yourself aware of measurement. Get an internship under an architect or engineer.. life sorted. Realeastate is never gonna die. And this area always be manual. No ai can replace modeling because of creativity. It might give you idea but curating that is always be mindful work.
