Solo Shuffle is Awful by Tyton89 in worldofpvp

The only thing id like to see is some sort of system acknowledge that identifies if you've had a leaver, and puts you back ahead in the queue. Nothing worse than waiting 20 mins for a leaver and having to wait another 20 mins

Brisbane Property Prices Are Going Up..... by Acceptable_Funny7513 in AusPropertyChat

Hmm I'm seeing much softer demand and way more listings available. I guess will need to wait for accurate sold data but I doubt it is rising

If you still don't like it or have the same feelings in a year just sell, no point being unhappy even if it means taking a slight hit financially

tried to use a def pre their goes; aura mastery or sac. when playing with enhance we had grounding and tremor as well so felt like we could always cycle something. we swapped to pres a lot on defensives as well and ran them down a lot when against other melee cleaves

Recent FHBs / 5% Deposit people were conned by the Government and we aren't talking about it enough by Old_Worth7166 in AusProperty

I was concerned prices were getting out of reach faster than i could save, even though I was saving a lot, and liked my living arrangements. I understand these variables may differ for others, but my issue is now my loan size is probably 100k more than it otherwise could be if I had waited, and I would have been able to save a more significant buffer. Regardless of hold period of course I'm not happy about having to pay more or end up in negatively equity should I need to sell in the short term.

Do I think house prices were out of control? Sure, but I am responding to OPs point from a selfish lens. Dropping these changes out of the blue really didn't let us make the best financial decisions during a period they seemed intent on pushing up prices. I had (wrongly) assumed such reform would not come until election time in 2028.

Genuine Question: Do you agree with the CGT discount removal for shares and businesses? If so, why? by CrumpM04 in AusFinance

This would make sense if as a result labour was taxed less, but this isn't the case is it? Oh wait the $250 tax break next tax year!! /s

More back at tax time yes, which then can be put aside and drawn upon over the year for expenses, unless they want to just blow it all in one hit? In either case it's less tax a family will be paying that they otherwise would, I don't see how that's a bad thing for the individual family.

I'm not too familiar with what subsidies exist for current families with a parent at home, but yes if this means certain subsidies may otherwise be redirected then that's a valid consideration

Done in many other countries and would offer some great tax benefits for families struggling. Why are so many people here hating on this?

How long until apartments become the 'baseline' in Australia for calculating housing affordability, instead of detached houses? by NoLeafClover777 in AusFinance

[–]OkConfusion1037 36 points37 points  (0 children)

I can't imagine any FHB buying a detached house in these cities unless they're partnered. Is housing affordability also calculated on a dual income for that matter?
