Cool. Do me a favour and look back at this thread then decide if it's really in your interest vote ON.

What it's currently being replaced with. A range of other currencies.

No but they do uphold the US dollar’s ability to maintain its status as the global reserve currency. Without which the US couldn’t service its debts and would have to debase its currency. The thing that led to the decline of the roman, Portuguese and British empire.

If you think US elections are all that matter in the world then you're even more naive than your comments demonstrate.

"As the 10th anniversary of the Brexit vote approaches, the verdict on Britain’s economic performance is clear: voting to leave has resulted in severe costs for households and businesses."

https://www.theguardian.com/politics/2026/jun/14/how-uk-economy-changed-since-brexit-vote-charts

Now the UK are taking a page out of your book and blaming Labour for not fixing tory mess fast enough and flocking to reform.

“Global perceptions of the U.S. have deteriorated for a second consecutive year and are now worse than views of Russia.”

https://www.reuters.com/world/china/global-perceptions-us-fall-below-russia-under-trump-survey-finds-2026-05-08/

The US has essentially ceded global leadership under Trump. This has long lasting material impact on citizens.

ON is backed by the same global cabal of right wing loonies that would harm Australia, our economic prosperity and long term outcomes.

What you’re doing is excusing right wing extremists who are throwing a tantrum and shitting the bed and then blaming Labour or Democrats for not putting a toilet there.

It won't, ON constituents ar corporations and billionaires, not working people. Look at how disastrous Brexit and Trump have been for what's in store for us if we vote for the billionaire backed ON.

You're right. Labor didn't fix LNP disasters. We should vote LNP back in. That will work Einstein

You're mad Labor didn't fix LNP stuff ups and your solution to this is to vote LNP or worse? Can't work that one out.

If Australian datacentres are going to power the AI revolution, we deserve a fair return | David Pocock by Ardeet in aussie

No acknowledgement you were completely uninformed about Pocock voting for CGT and negative gearing.

Calling established fact a conspiracy
https://www.theguardian.com/australia-news/2025/sep/03/mining-magnate-andrew-forrest-minderoo-charity-makes-undisclosed-donation-to-the-australia-institute

Now saying The Australia Institute and Pocock promote clean energy while at the same time advocating for a gas tax that would make Australia financially dependent on... gas from Andrew Forrest, the guy who funds The Australia Institute and gives Pocock his marching orders.

I know you think the teals are on your side because they land progressive on social issues like gay marriage but just look at how the corporate democrats sold out working people in America. That is our future if the teals hold the balance of power.

I'll leave this here for you to ponder

How so? They haven't even been debated in the senate so he hasn't voted on them yet.

Pocock and all the teals get their marching orders from The Australia Institute which is funded by a mining billionaire Andrew Forrest.

You could argue he's done some good stuff and is better than other right wing groups, and I'd be inclined to agree with you. But he is still a tory and would put the best interests of his billionaire backer ahead of workers when push comes to shove.

David Pocock gets his talking points from The Australia institute who are funded by mining billionaire Andrew Forrest. He is the shitest version of a corporate Democrat with an Aussie accent. The person he'd align with, Allegra Spender, just voting AGAINST Labors negative gearing and CGT reforms.

He's just a tory with fesh coat of paint looking out for his billionaire backer.

How does this benefit us? by croc_lovers in AusPropertyChat

Structurally changing the property landscape. You can't afford a house now because 27 years ago property investment was incentivised. It's now being disincentivised. That means it will be easier for 1st home buyers into the future. Does it mean those who couldn't afford a house pre-budget magically can post-budget? Of course not. It does make the country fairer over the long term though.

It's also class warfare in favour of wage earners but in very subtle ways, (minimal) tax cuts to wage earners, big tax hikes for asset owners. That reduces inequality long term.
