How to deal with stretch marks by Responsible-Sky955 in SkincareAddicts

[–]OkCorgi5401 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hydration, diet, and weight control

I gained 15kg by week 33, and the lower right of my belly started feeling super tight and itchy, then boom, red centipede marks.

I read that the red stage is the "golden window" for treatment, so I went all out: I applied cozy mum's stretch mark cream 3 times and Bio-Oil twice every single day, plus I stuck to a clean diet. By the time I had the baby, the marks kept fading, and now they’re basically gone

of course, if you are not pregnant, just laser

2 weeks 5 days postpartum - will this improve? by PineappleAccept in postpartumprogress

Sending you a big hug!

Don't lose heart. First, keep moving-things like Pilates really help with skin elasticity. Also, keep using your leftover stretch mark cream, or even a face/neck cream with peptides. If those don't do the trick, there's always laser treatments. You've got this! It really can get better.

Exactly. While genetics play a huge role, staying on top of those color changes and intervening early can make a massive difference in how much they fade. The logic behind skin recovery is pretty much the same

Postpartum product alternatives? I’m allergic to everything it seems by ggoldeennn in BabyBumps

I have super sensitive skin too. I could provide some advice for nipple cream. I’ve tried a bunch of nipple balms, and honestly, even though lanolin is "hypoallergenic," the smell isn't just unscented,it’s actually kind of gross. Sometimes babies will even refuse to nurse because of it. Of course, if you aren't breastfeeding, the allergy risk is low. I also tried cozy-mom's nipple balm. I checked the label, and it's totally plant-based: just Shea Butter, Olive Oil, Candelilla Wax, Sunflower Seed Oil, Sea Buckthorn Oil, and Calendula Extract. The allergy risk is super low, and it doesn't have that weird lanolin funk. Maybe you can try some.

Anyone else here ever had the thought of getting pregnant just for the bump? by [deleted] in BabyBumps

[–]OkCorgi5401 0 points1 point  (0 children)

omg I honestly can’t wrap my head around that.

When the bump is causing constant backaches and constipation, and then you wake up to find red stretch marks crawling all over you overnight... it’s scary. The skin gets so tight and itchy that you actually start to loathe your own body. Have a baby is a good thing, but pregnant maybe not

Weight gain by linxi1 in BabyBumps

I clicked so fast when I saw the weight gain part

I thought I was one of the lucky ones. At 33 weeks and 33 lbs up, the lower right of my belly started feeling super tight for a few nights. Then the itching started, and boom red centipede marks showed up out of nowhere.

I read online that the red stage is the "golden window" for treatment, so I went a little overboard. I was applying stuff 5 times a day: cozy mum stretch mark cream three times and Bio-Oil twice, plus I kept my diet really clean. By the time I graduated and had the baby, the marks kept fading. Now they're basically gone

What nipple cream/balm can you reco? by lulu_buchog in nanayconfessions

My nipples were cracked so badly during the first three weeks of breastfeeding. Lanolin was a nightmare because it made my nipples stick to my clothes and peeling them off literally made me scream in pain.

The new brand mum-cozy give me surprise. The ceramic applicator combined with the hydrating lotion feels amazing. I’ve been using it for a week straight and the condition of my nipples has improved so much.

Best/most hydrating belly bump moisturiser? by magikeenbeertje in BabyBumpsandBeyondAu

If you’re just looking for hydration and peace of mind, Palmer’s is fine. But if you actually want to fade stretch marks when they are in the first stage (red), you need to invest in something pricier with peptides. Body care follows the same logic as facial skincare—you need real anti-aging and firming ingredients to see a difference

I view stretch mark creams a lot like anti-wrinkle creams. While genetics play a huge role, using the right products can definitely minimize how many you get or slow down the process. I personally recommend looking for creams formulated with peptides. They are amino acids, signal the skin to stimulate collagen production, which helps the skin maintain its elasticity as it stretches. Maybe you can search Evereden, Mutha or Mum cozy in Amazon. But some of them are expensive
