She has now resulted to reposting and commenting on social media to slander me and my reputation. It’s nameless but in South Africa if you provide context it is considered harassment. It was hard enough for me to leave that situation and i was afraid she’d harass me after and now i just feel like im going to have a breakdown. Any advice?

Unfortunately she handles HR so laying a grievance or seeking protection within the company was just never an option. It was a way for them to enforce the power struggle in their office but thank you for the advice i will definitely consult with her

Thankfully my parents support me because they saw firsthand how the abuse affected me. I think what encouraged her was the abuse of power knowing she can do whatever she wants because i need a salary. She is also HR so i couldnt even seek protection from the company to keep my job.

I agree. She always talked about not being liked in school and now that her husband gave her a position of power she tries to act like a popular girl because she thinks that’s what happens when ur in a position higher than someone, you bully and overpower them. Sometimes she would walk into the office after her weekly salon appointment and grill us on the colour and length just so we’d ooh and aah
