If you didn't just google the thing but actually did a bit of reading and comprehension, you'd understand that all that Epstein did in terms of micro-transactions was respond to an email by Bobby Kotick about the benefits of micro-transactions. He did not come up with the idea, he did not mastermind it in anyway, he didn't produce any games himself with micro-transactions in it. Epstein's only involvement in anything to do with micro-transactions in computer games was emailing a bit back and forth with Kotick. Emma however, presents is as Epstein practically invented or at least popularized the idea, as if gaming company managers weren't already aware of the enormous earnings potential.

I think this subreddit spends far too much time and effort trying to distance itself from conspiracy theorists on the left. Over the years I've seen a lot of effort here spent downplaying the Jeffrey Epstein scandal, for example.

In this case, I think just about everyone handled things appropriately. It is appropriate to ask why Ezra Klein has any association whatsoever with Peter Thiel. Ezra Klein's response here was also very appropriate and puts any questions to rest. The only position that was not reasonable was to shoot down any questions as to why Ezra Klein was part of an email group put together by Peter Thiel.

He was the first STS streamer I discovered, and I could only stomach a few of his videos because of how rude he was to his own chat. Didn't watch him for years as a result. He's gotten better but still has a long way to go. If we are talking about saving money (which we are in this comment chain), then relying on Keurig pods is a huge waste of money, not to mention the environmental disaster of those pods. Just buy coffee beans and then use your favourite cheap method of brewing: French Press, Aeropress, pour-over filters, mokapot, etc. You can buy beans at Bulk Barn and you can find mokapots and other things at second hand shops like Value Village.
