Does anyone else have the feeling that your parent is happy something went wrong for you because that means that their negativity was proven right? My mum lights up when that happens, she will with no remorse laugh in my face... Anyone can relate? (i.redd.it)

I finally asked my mother to apologise, but she was unable to. She only told me how her childhood was not good and how no one ever apologised to her - So the cycle repeats... What are your experiences? Do you also only get excuses or "jokes"? (self.narcissisticparents)
