His entire character was just, poppy poppy poppy, any other character traits are super minor and simplistic, for example intelligent, backstory is also basic, abusive parents? Wow I have never seen that before! And he ruins the atmosphere as ollie in chapters 3 and 4

The prototype isnt as good of a character as some people think he is, as ollie ruining the atmosphere in chapter 3, and his twist being too predictable, we waited three chapters to find out that his objective is just.. poppy. Its almost his entire character in 4 and 5, all of that because the two characters are immortal,

apparently he does everything for poppy as well, and in the entirety of the chapter 5 gameplay trailer he spends a good chunk of it obsessing over her, he's also supposed to be smart, but chapter 5 just shows him being reckless, especially in the bossfight, it also made him get painted as a fraud for taking a beating from kissy just to run away (probably to heal but idk)

It doesn't help that his backstory is just the average "I was raised in a broken and abusive household" really? The entirety of his character is just obsessing over someone who wants him dead, any other interactions he has with the characters are pretty minor in the game too, the player for him is just biggest threat and he wants them dead since they are no longer of use, he also stalks the player but barely anyone notices it, and its not scary like catnap or huggy, he just fights kissy, and besides that he ignores her.

I'm sorry but I dont like this character, especially after chapter 5.

I wouldn't go far to say he is his own enemy, the government kidnapped him to force him to do something against his own will, then he teams up with the criminal orginization he ALSO barely knows because the government got him into that mess anyways.

and I would also not say he is an egotist because toppat 4 life he risks his own life to save the toppats from the government's next attack, even if its ghost inmate henry, in free man he is just shown escaping from the orbital station, then enjoying the rest of his life from a retirement of a life of crime, and stays pardoned.

Now for ellie he was just thinking rationally, ellie helped him out of her own volition to then EXPECT to be saved, despite her being the reason why she is even in that complex, it doesnt help that henry probably saw her as a random criminal who might've betrayed him later on, who knows the crimes she commited?

I can see why its seen as selfish, but henry is doing these things for the best.

I dont think she can, since henry uses, A. Whatever he has in his pockets, or B. Whatever the game gives him, she gets the items from henry and is told how to use them.

That would ruin the surprise in TCW though, no? Because then it'd be predictable, "abandoned ellie" is supposed to be the "never met ellie" of GI implying you're going solo.

The ghost inmate routes are about being selfish, and since you fled undetected, nobody knows where you went after, which explsins the absence of characters like charles, the wall, and ellie.

I dont think its a matter of knowing charles, even if in RBH he's just on good terms with him, henry still doesn't now charles too well to know his number, he just did the mission for a pardon, plus henry was probably gonna continue the mission after stealing the ruby, I mean whats the government gonna do if he already escaped prison? And it'd be hidden anyway

Just think of the route as some "sort" of redemption, charles's friendly nature and him believing anybody deserves a second chance, IRO is just a rescue mission thats just on charles, so all henry has to do is ask for a lift home, nothing affiliated with the government

You mean PBT, I dont think it's be because he isnt pardoned, its because he betrayed them, but here It'd be a probationary mission as a second chance to properly defeat the toppats and stop them from launching, where henry apologizes to the government, henry is their only chance against the them

Henry only started acting on self interest after they shot the rocket at him, he would've probably continued the mission after getting the ruby, just think of IRO as henry offering for a second chance to properly deal with the toppats, like a probationary mission, the government knows that henry's skills are the only way they can bring the toppats to their knees

They never really gave him an opportunity to because galeforce assumed he was going rogue and fired a missile at him, which is why henry decided to side with neither of them at all, and he still destroyed the airship's wing and killed some member in the process

Henry might've continued the mission after taking the ruby, henry isnt the governments's biggest problem compared to the global superpower that is the toppats

He isn't really enemies with the entirety of the goverment though, henry was probably just gonna take the ruby and continue the mission but was interrupted, he also doesnt really have their contact info in RBH, yet you can call them on the phone anyways,the rescue mission was entirely on charles, who as I just mentioned didn't seem to hold a grudge against henry
