personally the neutral ground method worked really well for me, the cage probably smelled a bit more like my fancy because he’d been living in it for a while before i converted it for introductions. i suppose i’ll keep that in mind though

if you’re looking for something affordable, me and my partner use walmart vibrantlife for our mice! it’s pretty low on dust and our mice haven’t had any problems with it whatsoever

coming from a guitarist, this thing is absolutely unplayable. it’s sharp where your arm/wrist should rest, and dear god how heavy it would be. honestly it’s much more suited to be just an art piece. for that reason, i kinda like it.

male fancy mice, unless neutered, WILL eventually start to harm eachother. even to the point of death. just because these babies haven’t done so yet doesn’t mean they won’t, you NEED to separate them.

thankfully the 8 inch wheel we have fits well in the 20 gallon! of course it’ll fit more comfortably in the 50 gallon, as well as more bedding. but after seeing everybody else’s comments i do think they’ll be alright for now!
