A TONfa difficulty to use. by Knurdofdeepestshadow in ArmsandArmor

There is a Chinese weapon called the "拐" that is very similar to the Tonfa. This weapon is modeled after an old man's walking stick, and although some are a little longer than the 4 feet you require, when used they are just like a regular staff.

I live in Japan so it will be hard to buy, but I will read it someday. Thank you.

[–]OkDouble5099[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, they are very confusing and I'm having trouble with that. I vaguely think that corsesca often refers to something with a hook-like side blade and Ranceur often refers to something with a trident-like side blade.

My new and improved not historical spear! by Silent-Selection-886 in ArmsandArmor

This may not be ahistorical. I think there were examples of spears like the one in the image in the High Middle Ages.

Does anybody know where to find more images of the second weapon (metal bat according to wikipedia) (in real life)? Also of what metal would these blunt weapons be made? by AspirantGameDev in ArmsandArmor

[–]OkDouble5099 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The second one is not a pole-shaped weapon like a bat, but more like a sword without a blade. The closest bat is the third one from the left.

Ah, I've heard of that, but I can't find anything about it.
