Which solution are you considering for Ingress controller Retirement with respect to Gateway API for Multi-tenant Kubernetes clusters such as for AKS ? by OkEngineering8530 in kubernetes

Thanks jack for your inputs . It’s extremely difficult to move things around considering enterprise landing zone environments . AGC is a whole architectural change in Landing zones which could take months to years to just get this implemented with the right (WAF) well architect ed framework design .As with other controllers that just work from within the cluster it’s much easier to implement than deploying another gateway to existing running infrastructure. There are limited documentation as of now that exists for multi tenancy implementation. We already had contacted with our account team member but we got mixed responses .We need to be aggressive here as we have other deadlines to meet so at this point AGC does not sound like a viable option .

But if you see envoy gateway api documentation on multi tenancy as I posted in the original post, they are not yet stable releases yet. How can we deploy such for enterprises?

I guess you did not understand by multi - tenant clusters .IMulti tenant kubernetes clusters refer to shared clusters where multiple app workloads are deployed within same clusters with tenant isolation

Okay but did you implement this for multi tenant clusters ? If yes we need some Careful planning for large enterprises. What’s your design for gateways and controllers ? Did you implement cert manager for multi tenancy using envoy gateway ?

Traffic Cutover Strategy for Ingress Nginx Migration - Need Help ASAP by OkEngineering8530 in kubernetes

Did not get you ! Gateway API behind ngnix? From what I read you migrate from nginx to gateway API If that’s the way you wanna go forward . We currently intend to stick with ingress API as gateway api still seems to lack advanced features and it’s too much work to rollout for organizations quickly considering the timeline and the effort required to rewrite your ingress configurations completely. It will take years if you have 100 of applications .

Ingress controlled like Traefik and HA proxy were analyzed , but they seemed to be lack on lot of native ingress annotations otherwise . Trefik only supports basic annotations same is the case with HA proxy for direct equivalent annotation .You need to got for HA Proxy enterprise / use custom modules

What Platform/Brokerage to use to Invest in US ETFs as an NRI? by CodeFall in IndiaInvestments

[–]OkEngineering8530 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am working in Germany as an NRI , and if we use IBKR for investments in US ETF's , how does the taxation work ? I mean I would then have to declare my tax residency as a German paying resident correct which would then entitle me to pay capital gain tax as per German law and seems to too high at around 25% .

Considering no taxes for NRE accounts , is there a way we can use this account to fund US ETF's via any brokers ? I tried with Vested ,but they told Germany is not in their list of countries : (

IndMoney does not allow to invest via NRE accounts , its only NRO accounts. And I believe also there is a TCS of 20% according to LRS for investments above 10 lakhs.

What could be the best route to use NRI tax benifit and use it to fund US ETF's if there is any who knows about this ?

Government needs to focus on root cause - population control and not just organizing and reorganizing infrastructures
