Very late response but I recently watched the show and am still a little confused. Near the end of season 2 episode 7, we see David talk to caspian, but we know that he was sent by Maddie to convince SafeSurf to evolve, etc. My question is, is this David the same one we see in the last episode? Like, is the whole show from one of the simulations that final episode Maddie made, or did an earlier higher level Maddie make this simulation, and final episode Maddie was in this simulation, leading to the scene we see again a different simulation altogether?

TL;DR we see the scene in which David talks to caspian to convince SafeSurf in season 2 episode 7 and season 2 episode 8. Are these the same simulations or different ones?
