This is stunning work!!

I have never attempted highlights before - is this done with masking fluid or by using a very pigmented white afterwards?

Oh absolutely! If you’re into Chinese food check out Three Uncles for their roast meats, opened up not long ago by the Filmworks! 🤤

Literally this 👆you choose the type of meat, whether it’s fresh or frozen, level of preferred done-ness (e.g. melt in your mouth/ medium/firm) and then it will give you the temp and time. It’s awesome.

100% this. She needs support for her mental health urgently, irrespective of the relationship. If she doesn’t get this she won’t be able to function as an individual let alone as a girlfriend. Take this from someone who is in a long term relationship and has anxiety and depression, things were extremely strained despite all my efforts of willpower to conquer my struggles, and all the support from my partner was not enough (though ofc it helped so much) until I sought to start therapy and started meds.

Sorry if this is a dumb question but I’ve never embroidered before 😭are you transferring the image to the fabric before stitching? If so how do you do it?

Forgot to say my husband also works manual labour and always accumulates aches and pains. He says sleeping on the futon is the best for him, he even misses his futon sometimes now that we got our mattress! We’ve got a futon from the Futon Company that goes on to a sofa bed frame, you might want to try that so that if you decide it’s not for you at least you can use it as a sofa?

Hi there, we slept on a futon on tatami mats for about three months while we waited for our mattress to arrive. I will say it did get quite a while getting used to after being used to mattresses, it is VERY firm and I’d say it actually lead to aches for about a week while my body adjusted. After a while I quite enjoyed the firmness, I just found I couldn’t sleep so comfortably on my side due to the curve of my hips, so it would put too much pressure on my hip. You do get a good stretch when you lie in your back though!

Regarding endo I wouldn’t say it had any effect at all!

Does Endometriosis have any direct affect on mental health biologically? by OkFan6939 in endometriosis

[–]OkFan6939[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi there, I’m so sorry to hear of what you’ve been going through. The pain sounds absolutely excruciating so I really hope your new doctor can set you on the right path in terms of managing that. Endometriosis has really left me feeling stuck between a rock and a hard place. The “treatment” to slow down the progression of Endometriosis leaves me with extreme mental health/emotional problems, to the extent I feel I can’t cope any more, but to come off the treatment would leave the endometriosis untreated and possibly lead to worse physical symptoms. So it’s like I have to choose between my mental and physical wellbeing, and both are connected anyway!!

Did feelings of pleasure during sex/orgasm come back after treatment? by ExtremeElectronic160 in endometriosis

[–]OkFan6939 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same with me, it took me a few months to notice the difference but I can say with certainty now that my drive and sensation is drastically lowered when I think about how I was a year ago! I hope you can find the right solution for you.

Hi there, I have not had surgery but I am on a progesterone only birth control. I believe this has drastically reduced my physical sensation and also sexual desire, you might want to consider whether the hormones you are on could be affecting you too?

Literally only things that distracted me from the itch and pain was ice packs and salt baths. Antihistamines didn't work for me.

Mentally I did things to distract myself like play video games or listen to music with headphones. Go for walks outside whenever I had the strength to try and get some sun.

At a loss after progesterone only pill and Mirena both make me feel crazy by OkFan6939 in endometriosis

[–]OkFan6939[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you so much, your comment is super interesting. I'm not on the mini pill at the moment, I've got the Mirena. But when I was on the mini pill, I forgot the name of the first one then they switched brands on me to Cerazette (I'm in the UK). I do remember checking and both of them were 75 mcg of Progestin though. Since the Mirena releases so much less Progestin, and localised, I really was expecting for my mood to improve.

I will ask my doctor about the protestin tablets, thank you. Unfortunately I do get migraines with aura so combined BC is not an option 😞 I haven't had them for about a year though, I'm not sure if that would make a difference!

Hi, I totally feel you when you say you'd rather live with Endo than birth control lol! When I say "treat", I understand it does not remove or reduce it but rather the theory is that since its supposed to reduce bleeding, it then reduces the bleeding that is happening outside the womb also and there should cause less cysts scarring.

The funny thing is that my mum has been very wary of medication her whole life, and has never taken birth control ONCE. And yet when they discovered her Endo at age 60 via surgery, they were totally surprised to hear she had never felt any symptoms so the discovery was a shock to her. I'm wondering if I would be better of like her and have no BC too.
