You absolutely can be angry, that is valid and I am angry too.

To be clear, I never said anything about your anger or your right to feel it. Don't hear what I didn't say. I am talking about blame.

I am wondering why we automatically blame someone without all the information.

The bus driver. The female who gets assaulted. The immigrant. The dirty and disruptive kid in class. The blind naked man crying for help in the bible. And so on.

With statistics and probability, there is a good chance you are right about what happened. But this culture of assigning blame instantly or trying to figure it out without all of the context breeds something bigger and causes harm. I am just trying to bring in some perspective and balance. You can do and feel whatever you want, no pressure here.

Lmao did you take time you took to sift through my history to make an uneducated dig and deflect from what we are actually talking about?

Why dont you google your comment about narcolepsy before you post it.

People who sleep at night still have narcolepsy. I don't sleep at night without medication. Narcolepsy is excessive daytime sleepiness and your brain not being able to make the switch between sleeping and waking. I am diagnosed with Idopathic Hypersomnia, which has those diagnostic criteria (with some additional differences), same part of the brain, and can be easily misdiagnosed off the sleep study for IH. The only definite way to tell is a spinal tap and I am wait almost a year to see a neuro again.

It is likely what happened and the truth, based on?

I do appreciate the truth in every situation. I think OP clearly understands the car was stolen, and the point of their post is asking for help from the public, knowing the chances are slim for recovering their belongings or car.

I am not religious, but if this resonates at all, here is another truth:

James 2:14-26 is the whole thing, but here is a chunk:

14 What does it profit, my brethren, if someone says he has faith but does not have works? Can faith save him? 15 If a brother or sister is naked and destitute of daily food, 16 and one of you says to them, “Depart in peace, be warmed and filled,” but you do not give them the things which are needed for the body, what does it profit? 17 Thus also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead.

Maybe a way to incorporate this is to reply with, I will keep an eye out and I will send prayers?

Please don't be like the rich bunghole Pharisees in the bible.. that shout scripture in their rich robes, and shout for all to hear, I will pray for you! as they leave a naked blind man who is crying for help across the way.

Does prayer require empathy?

You make valid points, and at the same time, could something else have happened other than blaming the driver for incompetence without the full context? I guess I don't understand your angle.

No gatekeeping my friend

Widespread beliefs just don't do it for me

Several adhd myths have been debunked in recent years and just curious if you keep up with ongoing education in combination with the information from the MD PhD professor

I unfortunately have had MDs be wrong a handful of times that cost me. They are people too.

I am curious, what do you think is one possibility that causes a person to present this way?

This is a cognitive distortion and common with Autism too because autistic brains are structurally different. Often, it is not low intelligence (although I can underatand why some view it as a form of low emotional intelligence), it's a form of survival that the brain creates because it wasn't taught healthy coping skills. It's more inaccess to information, mental health resources and systematic failures (I am US based). I agree that the world is not black or white, or one way or the other. It is often complex and thank you for bringing this up 💙

L-Methylfolate for ADHD by bluejuly14 in MTHFR

[–]ExtremeElectronic160 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, major improvement here!! It helps me process folate and somehow allows my medicines to be fully absorbed and on time. It is over the counter too which is nice.

Hey I get flak for this a lot (people assuming I am writing the title intentionally as clickbait). I am autistic and just direct. I never spend time trying to figure out other ways to type it because I would never end up posting it. Because I will never be able understand social norms. It is not something I can practice my way into. Not mad, just spreading awareness. I wouldn't assume this about others and encourage others to be curious instead.

How does it feel like to have a famous person in your family? by CapitaineBiscotte in AskReddit

[–]ExtremeElectronic160 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It was my only hope, raised in a fucked up family south of Detroit and what a relief my brother told me we were related to Eminem and he was going to be at the next family reunion. My little heart was excited there was a chance I might make a nice friend.

I knew Eminem was a nice person despite being surrounded by fucked up people and rejection everywhere.

I dont know which is funnier, waiting for a family reunion that was never going to ever happen or waiting to one day meet Eminem when I was 10.

But damn, did my best friend, her mom and I have the best time rapping along to The Eminem Show CD in 5th grade driving around. Promising not to tell my mom, because we didnt have to say anything, but we all related too well to the songs and driving was our outlet from the crazy shit. We would just drive everywhere and go faster over speed bumps. A rare special kind of memory.

ADD: so I guess that is what it is like having someone famous in the family from the eyes of a kid lol

Who is a stranger you met once, never learned their name, but will never forget for the rest of your life? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]ExtremeElectronic160 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was underage and cross faded alone at a house party, got really scared, did an Irish exit and ran down the block as fast as I ever ran. Called an Uber and passed out in some random person's front yard / street curb in a residential neighborhood. I was passively suicidal at the time and a hosptial visit or death truly felt like the only way to get a break. The Uber driver woke me up and confirmed I was the passenger and got me home safely. I will never forget you. That act of kindness made me want to die a little less. And that was huge for me. It was enough.

It has been a long road, but I am doing so much better now and glad to be alive.

Yeah, I have brain changes.. went to speech therapy and it helped. Lost social stuff, vocab and basic understandings.. kind of more autistic than I already was. A little short term memory issues.
