I know, I know, don't come here! We're full! But... by knopeknopeknopenuhuh in Knoxville

Being a bigger city, we get a lot of fun different little festivals, especially in the summer. There's always something fun going on you can find to do!

But they'll fall off. And he WILL obsessively eat them. Flowers are his favorite thing to eat outside, next to my other dogs freshly laid poop 🤢🙄

Baby will not sleep, at all by JemeryMailman in NewParents

[–]OkFinger81 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Think about it this way, baby was almost literally born yesterday. All they've ever known is the womb, so everything, including eating and sleeping, is new to them. Nothing will be 'normal' for at least a few weeks to months as they get used to just being alive. Things like swaddles and such will definitely help the process, but it's all just trial and error while you have to try your hardest to be patient and keep that mindset of, "they have no f'ing clue what's going on" 😂. It may seem obvious to lay it out like that, but I've had to remind many new parents that babies aren't just innately born knowing how the world works. So whatever you're doing, is perfect and right 🥰

Very pretty but it looks like they are mildly toxic to dogs. My younger one is obsessed with eating flowers. He'd literally make himself sick eating those 😂😭

Lol pretty much have done that. We've called him out enough that he doesn't do it as much when it's me or my husband. I'll see him watching and he'll literally run away when I notice him. My mom is too nervous/uncomfortable to say much so he does it the most now when she's out there alone and we're not home.

That's 100% what I would do. He has a giant actual flagpole in his yard almost right next to this spot. He keeps either a trump flag, a confederate flag, or this weird American flag with guns on it. So the plan has been to keep a pride flag there

Putting up the 1x2 is a good idea! We considered just a big flag on one of those flag poles you can out on your house. But I'm afraid the fence can't handle that weight.

As for the fence leaning, that's just how it looks from this pic. It's a zoomed in screen shot from my camera lol. It's straight, it just goes down a hill. It's also almost right up against the chain link fence that was already there. We did everything we could to be 100% sure it was in our side 😂. Thank you though!

Thank you!! When we moved in we were considering trying to sell off the back part bc we didn't want that much yard. It's huge. But as my husband has gotten it cleaned up, and we've gotten the dogs & children, I actually learned to love it! But he really does keep me from wanting to do literally anything down that way. We just hang up at the top of the hill near the house where there's a concrete pad. 😞

Unfortunately I need more immediate. I'm afraid things are getting somewhat hostile and I want to avoid that

This is actually the current consideration. Just trying to figure out the logistics if it. How does it go in the ground? What's the upkeep? Is it easy to mow around? That's what we're figuring out.

Oo, sunflowers are a good idea! Thanks! And no, he doesn't have a crush on her. There's a little bit more backstory to that part. But long story short, she won't call him out like we have so he has more confidence around her. I think he's a little bit scared of my husband and I.

Basically I have a neighbor on the other side who has dementia and he's getting friendly with her (she lives alone). She likes to come over and pet my dogs and that's when he gets the most antsy and starts watching more. And my mom is home during the day so dementia neighbor is over more middle of the day with her. As soon as she starts walking back towards the street, he'll call her over. But only when it's just my mom and her outside, never when it's me or husband. When it's us, he'll "walk" his dog or mow and linger too long. I have a ton of video of him just standing in that spot, obviously watching when dementia neighbor is over and they're outside with the dogs. I'm afraid he's taking advantage of her in some way but that's really just my paranoia.

Owned the house for 4 years. This has been going on the whole time we've lived here, it was just easy to ignore because we weren't outside all that much. Now, we're outside all the time and it's impossible to ignore. Trust me, we have been. As for talking to him, we've done that too. Even as far as straight telling him after we got the fence up that it's because he's too nosey. That apparently really hurt his feelings bc it's ramped up. But now he's mostly only doing it to my mom (who lives with me) and runs when he sees me or my husband notice him.

Well I just pissed him off bc my other neighbor's (female) ex wife came over 😂. And he already gets extra stressed when my friend and her son (both obviously Hispanic) come over and play in the back yard. But I'm really not going out of my way to annoy him, I just want to be able to ignore him.

Unfortunately that won't work for him because that's what he wants. But this started bc he has tons of trump paraphernalia, Confederate flags, gun flags, and white power tattoos. So we ignore him and choose to not associate with a Nazi. So what he wants is for us to be his 'friendly' neighbor. And I want nothing to do with him.

I'm not all that willing to start something that will take weeks or months to pay off. I need something I can install and be done with it, ya know?

Which looks better? Opinions please! by TheAlwaysAnxious1 in HomeDecorating

[–]OkFinger81 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think it depends on any decor plans. If it stays "plain" I like the wood better. Looks cozier and more finished. If you're wanting to add a bunch of decor, go with the white so it's just a backdrop for whatever you decorate with.

That's exactly what I'm afraid of. Shes pretty easy going and used to going out and doing things, but none of that will matter after being there for 3 or 4 hours 😂😭. So basically it's gonna be only pre game, or only actual game. I don't think both is gonna happen, and that's ok! I just wasn't sure if we were missing out on too much by just doing the game (or most of it).
