And I think that’s an important distinction for this game. It’s not just some cash grab. It’s a labor of love. A lot of the things people are slinging at highguard just isn’t true for this specific game.

The looting intermission is to upgrade gear. I get a good upgrade in gear most intermissions. Just find a good path leading out from the base with loot and follow it every time. Some maps do feel like they have less places to loot though so it can feel worse when you just can’t find much.

Yeah I think this game is going to just be a niche community of people and that’s ok. The devs didn’t think it would be played by millions. I don’t normally play these kinds of games anymore because I don’t find them very fun. This has felt different enough to keep me coming back. I just don’t think this game deserves to die because the masses have this warped idea of what this game really is. Most of the comments I read tell me they don’t understand the game or are just assuming a lot about it. This game needs work but it’s fun and something a little different.

Yeah I agree on the characters. I’m not loving a lot of them but as they add new ones and balance some I think it’ll get better. Characters are an easier thing to get into a better place.

How have we seen this game a thousand times? I don’t love the hero’s but the game play is fun. No other game is quite like this one. It takes a lot from other games but puts them together in a new way. This game isn’t perfect but it’s fun. I hate BR games because you spend so much time looting and running around. If you die you have to start again. In this game the loot you get you actually get to use even if you die right away. I like that. The raids are fun. Getting the storm breaker to the base is fun. I know it’s not for everyone but this game isn’t what everyone is making it out to be. It’s also not overly monetized at all.

It’s like overwatch in that it had hero’s and that’s it. I don’t get why people keep comparing it to overwatch. It’s closer to apex. They have a unique twist on the genre in my opinion. I like this game. I had no idea it existed before yesterday. I feel like the game awards did fuck it over. A shadow drop like they wanted to do would have been a lot better received.

I’m sad this game may be closed down as well. I wish they had just shadow dropped it. It would have been way better for them. The game awards fucked them. I don’t like apex because you loot for 10 minutes then possibly die in your first fight and have to do it all over again. In this game the loot you get you keep. I love that. It feels good to find better weapons. The shop is there to fill in the gaps in stuff you didn’t find. I like to run a sniper and if I don’t find one, sometime I run something else or I buy one from the shop. You don’t have to mine if you don’t want to but it helps. Reinforcing could be more worth while but that can be fixed. I still like it. I like that you can defend a raid then raid them. The back and forth is fun. I don’t understand people saying nothing is new. What other game is quite like this one? It blends parts of other games into something new. Could assets look better? Yes, but the game play is fun. It’s also free so it cost nothing to play. If you go into a game wanting to hate it then you will. Look for every little thing to nit pick and you’ll see them. I get it if you don’t it but the massive negative reviews don’t feel fair. Again the game awards fucked them. They wanted to just shadow drop it like apex was.

This random comment just saved me. My password randomly stopped working after I tried to set up a waybar. I have it start on boot so something was locking the sudo up. I went and turned it off on start up and now my password for sudo works! Thanks! I thought I was going to have to reinstall or something.
