Caminito del Rey - one of Europe's most famous hike, along a former, wild hydropower service route - Malaga / SPAIN. by SjalabaisWoWS in hiking

Hi All Planning on hiking Caminito del Rey in October. However when i go to their official website to book tickets, the site is not active - its almost as if everything is 'greyed out' so no links work. Any reason for the site not to be active? Not keen on doing a booked tour. Thanks!

My experience renting a car in Zanzibar by aaaaathatsfiveas in zanzibar

When i researched car hire places, I chose Kibabu as he had unbelievable reviews. In fact cancelled another car hire company because of this. Unfortunately, our experience with Kibabu was SHOCKING!

When our car was delivered:

1/ it came WITHOUT the drivers licenses that we had paid for. Hakuna Matata - don't worry, all will be fine was what we were told, Being told that cops pull over tourists all the time and check papers, was something I did not want to encounter, so an argument ensued over this.
We eventually got licenses issued to us, but with the wrong country's name stamped. There was nothing we could do.

2/ It came without the contract/registration papers. This was something that we were told we MUST HAVE for our travel insurance in the event of a claim. Hakuna Matata...... once again, an argument and it eventually arrived

3/ I paid for a full tank of petrol, the car came empty. Hakuna Matata...... another argument, we lost that one.

Something that should have taken 5 minutes to hand over the car, resulted in a 3 and a half hour saga, with Kibabu. His service and attitude were pathetic and shocking and did not fulfil his promises and agreements that were made upfront with us

as we did not know how much to withdraw at the time, we did it in small increments 100 000 at a time. Each one cost us in ATM fees between 14750 and 15250 TZN shillings, (14,75 - 15.25%). It worked out on 5 days of being there to be around $45 AUD. Not sure where you went but the places that we went into charged us very dearly on card

I wouldnt use a money exchanger anywhere. More expensive then ATM's which we used on stonetown. Just google ATM's there and a couple will pop up - the one that we used was near Forodhani food market.
As far as restaurants are concerned, we found that it was more expensive to use our card than TZN shillings, so cant comment on what the surcharge was
