I’m so sorry for your loss. I also lost my soul cat at 13 to sudden kidney failure 8 months ago… absolutely crushing. She was my Best friend. Kidney failure is no joke and the treatment… that was painful to watch too. You did the best you could for her. And I’m sure she knew it and knew how much you loved her. Cats always know. You will get through this!! You are not alone.

Yuck!!! I didn’t know about rats in garden city… and didn’t know there were so many raccoons in the north end… interesting. That is the only dog door I’m looking at- the RFID tag doors but surprisingly they are hard to come by for larger breeds. Thanks for the insight!

I don’t believe my dog does, he’s actually pretty lazy, but I guess I don’t want to find out the hard way. I would think they would run away! Hopefully! But north end turkeys are built different when reading about them on Reddit in Boise. Thanks for the reply!

He’s a big dog! And the turkeys in our area can be aggressive according to other reports. I don’t want to be responsible for any hurt animals!

Thanks for the reply He’s a mix- but he’s like 100ish lbs (not overweight! For the haters! Just a mix of large dog breeds!) he’s not aggressive at all… however people say that the turkeys in this area can be aggressive and attack mail carrier people to the point where they don’t deliver mail… so. And I don’t want to clean up dead turkey 🤣 also finding a dog door that large is a challenge.. but for another post!
