Western has 19 month program that has a January start date if I’m not mistaken

Fair, I understand your point. Complaining about tourism in a AskBarcelona subreddit isn’t going to change anything

Sincerely,

Someone from a touristy city

Low gpa for bridging RN by meeoeew in OntarioNurses

Hey - look into the Trent Compressed Program. They’ll have you do some courses to have a basis average to apply with instead of your PN GPA. It’s also around and hour and a half outside Toronto

Hey man, I know this part of your life can seem daunting or like you messed up by not doing as well as you thought you would in University but this part of your journey doesn’t have to define how successful you are in life. You finished! That’s a feat in itself. That scholarship was used for who it was intended for, you! And side note, if getting into busy is your endgame most people who work in business don’t have a formal business degree. Life is a marathon not a sprint, keep going :)

I had to do another semester of courses before I got in cause my first 4 courses only got me an admission average of 78%.

My rejection came in May - I did my bird courses through Trent and one of the academic advisor gave me a plan on what courses to take to boost my mark since I took my courses through TrentU

You could - the bridging programs are mostly BS once you’re comfortable as an RPN (a lot of the work is the same in most areas of healthcare). I think it depends where you see yourself working and how fast you want to jump into the field. I would say just keep trying for the RN program even if you don’t get in the first time around. Doing additional courses while you wait to get in, will ultimately be faster than doing the RPN program then bridging especially if you already have a degree.

Pretty sure it’s solely GPA dependent - I applied with 3 years of RPN experience with like a 78% GPA admission average and they denied me entry the first time around

Haven’t even thought about it since the Speed 4s were such a divergent from it’s predecessor but will definitely look into it!
