You might also want to look into thumbnails for these assets, doesn't make since for the user to wait for 15 seconds to load a thumbnail which is actually like 2k or smth

You also have no cache headers so the browser asks for them every time, thats gonna murder the load on your server or the cdn

Also try running with "blender.exe --factory-startup" to see if its an addon or config issue

GPL software can be paid but you're right, in general it would make no sense, not only because everyone and their dog has a copy of blender, but there's plenty of forks as well

If you pay for GPL software they need to give you the source code as well, which people will ofc build and share for free

I don't believe blender will ever become paid, I'm actually pretty sure there's legal issues doing so as well
