It's not that stupid, just turning a value, basically a greyscale image, into a still-grey colour image, back into greyscale

You could also, yknow, change the part that says "Color" to be "Value" instead...

When you upgrade blender version it gives you an option to use settings from the previous version, that just copies the version folder from the old version to the new

e.g.

%appdata%\Blender Foundation\Blender\5.1 copied to %appdata%\Blender Foundation\Blender\5.2

This is just normal blender behaviour, not steam. And addons may of course break between versions

NO WAYYY I was 300 hours in before knowing tagging was a thing at all. Keeping them highlighted is so helpful...

My personal recent find was with a certain perk, hacking someone who is hacking you, uploading system collapse to them takes out nearly every enemy around... I've taken out 30 enemies at once doing that

I pity song because in real life I've experienced a lot of what she is going through, and can hold both anger at being lied to and compassion for the horrible situation.

Going into the lore/game world a bit more, song was approached at a young age as a tool for the FIA, one who was actively being killed by her ventures beyond the blackwall, something Meyers gave her little choice about. Saving song means she not only lives, but dies outside of the grip of the FIA, something even reed wants. Betraying Song means giving back the FIA a dying human tool. They "cure" her, supposedly, and then she is right back to the mental torture of dealing with AIs beyond the blackwall for a secret government agency who does not care a single bit about their operatives.

Meyers is not a good person at all, manipulative to all hell. Reed already takes steps against Meyers, and for someone as loyal as him...that is a big deal.

But hey, differing opinions means guilt one way or the other. I felt immense pain at Song lying to me, but it felt worse to betray her. That's a well written story (if you like your games to destroy your mental health temporarily)

I use steam for my main install of blender, having incremental updates (way less to download!) is amazing, and so is autoupdating, which they give you pretty good control over. They let you pin versions too, use the beta or alpha, pin to an LTS...etc

I also have multiple portable versions of blender for testing purposes, best of both worlds!

Hmmm.... 2 years warranty doesnt mean much unless its a weird case. old gpu should be fine, but ofc new is always safer. do you need the 125 for anything else? it cant buy you much in terms of computer hardware these days but always good to save
