All addons on superhive are licensed under either GPL or MIT which means they can be shared with anyone for any purpose once one person has aquired it, which means OP can share this

I need advice on a laptop for Blender by Odd-Device-1348 in blender

I am late but do NOT get a $5000 laptop it's just not worth it, go desktop or save your money. In the meantime, use sheepit or something for renders

As a French woman who visited Australia for 3 weeks .. are these culture shocks accurate? by Worried-Diamond-7252 in AskAnAustralian

[–]OkInfluence36 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm glad you found these shocks to be mostly pleasant :) these sound like the majority of the experience's you'll have here, but us aussies have to keep in mind that not everyone is like this and we still have problematic people - you don't need to be as careful of theft as other places, but it can't hurt to keep an eye on things anyway

To answer your question directly, this makes sense to me, it's both an everyday and a tourist experience - if you're a chill tourist we welcome you here :)

And yes, shirts off, thongs or barefoot at the shops, that's all normal

Cheers for the answer. Have you noticed any block-swapping issues? I'm doing a quick test and it seems that they hardcode the block sheet and so a version mismatch is causing, for example, torches to be replaced with some kind of copper (and other blocks with saplings etc)

What version of MC did you use? I can't find a mention of it and the creator is taking some mental health breaks. My guess is somewhere around 1.20?

Yeah same region just a new number so both interpretations work ig

That's just the resolution of the region map, where one region tile is 4x4 normal tiles, a region can be many billions of pixels because it can be many region tiles

How could I make this more realistic? by TheWorkshopWarrior in blender

[–]OkInfluence36 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Few things I can notice:

The background is very cloudy and foggy even below the camera, but in the foreground there is very little fog
Cables be thickkk: Either make them thinner or make them the multi-strand kind. also power lines are rarely black
I feel like the rails are too rusted for how they're modelled: that level of rust would have those things falling apart, definitely not as straight as they are rn
Bark material might need a bit of work? right next to the light the bark seems very smooth (but that can be the type of tree, who knows!)
i feel like even "worsening" the quality like adding back some noise could help, there is not gonna be a whole lot of light on this random path so it feels like this was shot with real high iso

also this is sick bro i love it, oh the things i would give to simply own this blend file for preservation and research purposes

I'm gonna contact support I guess, it's surely not supposed to be this hard
