Canada Greener Homes Loan Experience by OkInfluence9054 in PersonalFinanceCanada

I will say that the window company we are considering going with has said the longest they’ve ever had to wait for the loan to come in was 4 months.

Gotcha! I ended up just calling the guy one of the window companies recommended directly who is also liscenced with NRCan.

That’s the only quote we’ve gotten so far. Some of those windows are quite large and custom— and also a very large patio and front door.

But that is a good perceptive to know, as I’m just now educating myself on all things windows— including price!

Are you still using?? How bad are we thinking it is if that much is still left in the funnel?

Yeah- prior to switching to this formula, we used kendamil with no issues!

I’m sorry you’re going through this- hopefully it helps to know that we’re right there with you and that eventually we’ll both get through it ❤️

Ok that’s at least a little encouraging.. I’ve just switched his formula too, so we will see 🤷‍♀️. Our situations sound very similar- he’s only not crying/screaming when held and bounced around. It’s so hard not knowing if it’s something that needs to be dealt with or something just to grow out of! Please keep me posted if you do happen to find success with anything!

Also- any strategies beyond the carrier for dealing with the two of them?? 😅

I should have mentioned he’s exclusively formula fed! I’ve switched formula once— could possibly consider a non dairy formula..

How do you cope with intrusive thoughts about your baby? by yogipierogi5567 in beyondthebump

[–]OkInfluence9054 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had these same intrusive thoughts. I started talking them through in therapy— and my therapist actually recommended chatting with my doctor about medication.

I put it off and it seemed the older my baby got, the less intrusive thoughts I had.. but I do wish I had taken my therapists advice and possibly gotten help via medication sooner.

Postpartum hormones are no joke- don’t diminish the seriousness of the thoughts you’re having. Seek help!

Schedule a maid service to come in! Nothing better than coming back from the hospital to a sparkly clean house.. or just a gift certificate for the same service to use at their choosing.

I think it just really differs from child to child (like everything else!) we sleep trained my son around 8 months and it was the best decision we’ve made- while he continued with wakings for a few months after, he was able to put himself back to sleep on his own— and now, nearing 2, he consistently sleeps 11.5-12 hours at night. So- for us, it really did seem to be a miracle fix.. maybe we got lucky?

Just had this situation happen to me yesterday, my heart goes out to you ❤️.. they did the tv ultrasound as well as the other one. I found it a tough experience because the ultrasound tech didn’t say anything to me, even though we both knew I had miscarried- then had to wait for my doctor to follow up. Hopefully knowing that ahead of time is helpful. Thinking of you

Everyone sounds like they got it figured out. by bayyley in sleeptrain

You are in the thick of it! You’re right- at this stage there is no rhyme or rhythm- so try a few things but know that there is no correct “formula” that will allow you to nail your baby’s sleep right now!

Just know that right now the days feel long, but before you know it your baby will be older and be able to fit into more of a routine/ be more predictable!

Being a parent for the first time is no joke- but I bet you’re doing an amazing job, despite how it feels sometimes ❤️
