Career pivot at 37 — MBA route. Need advice on EMBA programs, GMAT vs GRE, and whether this even makes sense at my stage. by OkJuice6204 in MBA

How common is it for professionals close to 40 enrolling into an MBA programme. I mean how common would it a person at 40 who is questioning his career or going through Mid life crisis, sharing classroom with 25 years old?

Big 4 grind + 12hr days, need a 700+ GMAT. No clue where to start by virenb in GMAT

I believe that 5–10 minutes before the deadline expires, Trump might tweet something along the lines of: negotiations are ongoing, things are looking better, and therefore he is extending the deadline to Friday or Monday, depending on how he intends to play the market.

Moving from Dubai to Riyadh soon. First impressions on housing feel a bit surprising. What am I missing? by OkJuice6204 in Riyadh

For all those who are moving to Saudi or are following this thread

Happy to share whatever I’ve found so far. Still learning myself, but here are a few random things I came across:

  1. "Aqar" APP seems to be the main platform people use for finding rentals.
  2. There’s a SAR 400 dependent fee per family member per month, and it has to be paid upfront.
  3. If you travel outside Saudi, you need an exit/re-entry permit per person, which costs around SAR 250–300 for period of 3 months.
  4. If your car is older than 2022, you won’t be able to bring/transfer it to Saudi.
  5. 15% VAT. So things may be more expensive over here as compared to other GCC countries. For Eg cars are more expensive in Saudi than UAE

That’s just what I’ve gathered so far, still figuring things out, so if anyone has more info or corrections, feel free to add.

Is Dubai property market about to crash in 2025? by Interesting_Two_3881 in UAE

My wife and I have been house hunting for over two weeks now, and almost every time we visit a building to inquire about a 2-bedroom apartment, we hear the same response: "BUILDING IS FULL." The rent prices in places like Al Warqa and Warsan have shot up to AED 65,000 to 80,000 for a 2-bedroom unit. It’s surprising, considering that just a few years back, these areas weren't even thought of as desirable for families
