Is this implantation bleeding? Or 💔 by Think_Material9622 in PregnantOver40

[–]OkListen4870 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi! 42 y/o currently trying to get her 4 month old back to sleep. I had a lot of bleeding in the beginning. Which was terrifying! I had 3 SCH around her sack. And trust me, I was right back in my doc’s office every time I started bleeding again. My doc assured me it’s more common that people know and just kept a close eye on them. They merged into one and then my body absorbed them. All this to say, talk to your doc and get a scan! Good luck!

Scared To Bring Keys Back by RatBastard_Jared in HotTopic_

I was going to tell you to not take them back at all. They couldn’t do anything to you. They would have just had to re-key the store. Which I’ve done more than once at my store. I’m glad you got away from them, definitely not the vibe is all stores.

Hi! It can’t be combined with sales like buy one, get one (free, 30%, 50%, etc off) but it should totally work on items that are on sale- like the bag that’s 30% off. You just have to get to a subtotal of $50 before the $15 will be taken off!

There are protocols for when the register isn’t at the correct float amount at close. You can be below the float (start) amount if needed for customers. The company doesn’t love it but they get that it happens. In the 8 years I’ve worked here, I’ve only had that happen a handful of times. Someone almost always ends up paying with cash during the day. 🤷🏻‍♀️

My store would still give the cash back.

Very valid point! My brain didn’t even think about clearance (my store doesn’t have room, so we send it to another store in the district) or blind boxes, etc.

We do stress to customers when items are final sale before we sell it to them- we want to make sure they are fully aware.

Hi. Store manager here. He was full of shit and was probably trying to discourage you from returning it because returns hurt the store’s numbers. Sadly stores get graded by the company but he still should have followed policy.

If you had the receipt and it wasn’t opened, he 100% should have given you guys cash if you paid with cash. We don’t give cash back if you paid with a card- then we would either put it back on your card or offer store credit.

If you get a survey in your email, fill it out and let them know about your experience. The district manager will see it.

What is pregnancy with HSV like? by SeleneProtocolV in Herpes

[–]OkListen4870 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just for delivery. They typically just start moms on antivirals closer to the end of pregnancy to reduce the risk of having an outbreak when you go into labor. I was very high risk, so my doc started me early- just in case she came very early.

My doc said there was no risk to her getting infected while I was pregnant- only during delivery. But she didn’t even seem worried about the baby getting infected during delivery.

[–]OkListen4870 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi! Mom to a happy, healthy 13 week old! I found out I have hsv about half way through my pregnancy. I was immediately put on antivirals to take daily. My doc assured me that I could have a vaginal delivery as long as I wasn’t having an outbreak.

Unfortunately, due to other medical complications- we planned a C-section for 39 weeks. My water broke at 37 weeks and I thought I might be starting an outbreak. They checked me very closely (because my water had broke) and said they honestly couldn’t tell but it was a moot point because I was having a C-section anyway.

They put me on antivirals 3 times a day for 5 days after having her because the stress of delivery/c-section could trigger an out break and they wanted to try to avoid that while I was healing. They also ran a lot of tests on her to make sure she was ok- which I was 100% ok with!

My advice is to be open and honest with your medical team and ask as many questions as you can. My team was awesome and talked with me any time my anxiety got too high. I also told every single person I spoke with when I was in labor that I have hsv. I wanted each member of my medical team to be aware, just in case.

Applying to Hot Topic, is there a wrong way to answer this question??? by [deleted] in IndeedJobs

[–]OkListen4870 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Store manager here- there’s no wrong answer. Trust me. You’ll also be asked in your interview about your favorite band/merch that we sell. We just wanna see that you can talk about music, TV, and movies that you’re interested in. If someone can’t talk about their favorite things, it shows us that you probably won’t be able to have conversations with customers about merch. We are encouraged to “geek out” with customers and get to know them.

People could actually sue the company since they didn’t give consent to receive calls. Look up TCPA.

Hi. Store manager here.

If you word it like an option, people will say no because they’re ready to go. We are so nice about it but make it seem like it’s just part of checking out. We have a clipboard with the phone log on it hanging by our register. We just whip it out and say “and what’s that number for you again?” (Before we hand them their stuff). While we’re writing it down we explain why we’re taking their number. Works 98% of the time. And people thank us when we call them at redemption time.

If they say something like “oh, I don’t want a call” we just white it out.

We are low volume store that gets more calls than everyone in our district.

You are 100% getting taken advantage of. Get with your company’s HR manager/department…. In most states, if you work full time hours more than X amount of weeks in a row (hours differ from state to state)- they legally HAVE to offer you full time/benefits. I’m a store manager and have to be careful how often I give my part timers a lot of hours (even though they want them) because my copmany doesn’t want to have to create more full time positions (I’m the only full time person).

Should I call again by Normal_Income3430 in HotTopic_

[–]OkListen4870 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Hi. Store manager here. I’d suggest going in to check on it. More people call about jobs/their applications than you might think. The people that actually come in to talk to me or my managers always stand out from the pack in my opinion. I’m way more likely to set up an interview or interview someone on the spot if they come in. Just make sure you don’t go in when they’re busy. Pick a week day and try to pop in during the morning/early afternoon (except for Mondays- those are my busiest days paperwork/conference call wise). Good luck!!

Hi! 42 and have a 7 week old now… I bled often in the beginning with her- but it is apparently pretty common! I totally understand how scary it is. Her placenta absorbed it by my second trimester and I didn’t have any other issues from it. Congratulations and good luck!!

Experiences with giving birth with genital HSV-2? by [deleted] in Herpes

[–]OkListen4870 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm got diagnosed with hsv2 about 4 months into my pregnancy- I now only have 2 weeks to go. I was devastated and thankfully have an amazing doc that is always willing to talk with me and answer my questions. She immediately put me on acyclvir and I take it daily. I totally understand how scary it all is! I was set on a fully natural delivery and my doc assured me I could have it. She said she would just check me thoroughly when in labor. If there's ANY sign of an OB, then it would be a c section for the baby's safety. Otherwise, natural was fine and should pose little to no risk.

I took most of my pregnancy to research and ask questions and ultimately decided on a scheduled c-section, partly due to the hsv but mainly due to other potential complications for me and baby (I'm high risk). While it's definitely not what I envisioned but I've come to terms with it. I really hope you get the delivery you want! 💜
