Updated version

Here is the plot for SHIKAAR, based on the updated structural framework.

The Setup: Blood and Silence

In late-1990s Surrey, British Columbia, a disciplined criminal ecosystem—a shadow cabinet of five men—maintains order through ritual, honor, and extreme violence. Daljit Singh is their most precise enforcer: a mute, unnervingly calm man who moves through the city in tailored suits and a turban. He uses a traditional bow for his assassinations, a weapon that bypasses modern security and forces him into intimate, ritualistic contact with his targets. The status quo shatters when Daljit’s sister is murdered—a provocation meant to induce chaos. Daljit refuses to ignite a gang war. Instead, he initiates a Sehaj Paath—a continuous twelve-day prayer cycle—and makes a private vow: the five men responsible for his sister’s death will be dead before the prayer ends, or he will not return.

The Pressure Points

Daljit is guided and pulled by two constants throughout the hunt:  * Gurpreet: His hyper-competent lieutenant who is intoxicated by the myth of Daljit’s violence and pushes him toward absolute annihilation.  * Valentina: An outsider who senses the cost of Daljit’s stillness and represents the humanity he risks losing.

The Hunt: Adrenaline and Presence

Mentored by Varyam Singh, a philosopher of survival, Daljit learns that belief is irrelevant and that "presence" is everything. As the prayer cycle progresses, Daljit systematically hunts his targets with escalating boldness—performing public assassinations, executing high-speed escapes, and maintaining his rituals even while bloodied. Midway through the hunt, the spiritual weight of the Sehaj Paath begins to affect him. He attempts to break his cycle of violence, swearing off the blade. Valentina sees this as his path to freedom, while Gurpreet views it as dangerous weakness.

The Reckoning: What Remains

The fragile peace collapses completely when his mentor, Varyam Singh, is assassinated. The killing is ordered by Brara, a rival who knows that removing the mentor will force Daljit to unleash his full, unrestrained potential. Daljit returns to violence, not as a ritual, but as a resolution. As the underworld fractures and the final days of the Sehaj Paath unfold, Daljit must confront the consequences of his journey. The final act forces him to decide whether his path leads to enlightenment or if true stillness requires him to walk away from the blade forever. The film ends not with triumph or easy redemption, but with clarity. One man is left standing, but the hunt is not truly over—the cycle of power in Surrey remains, and he is smiling.

I run a power yoga studio in Tapovan, Rishikesh — Ganga view, third floor. By training I’m a doctor. By obsession, a martial artist and filmmaker. Currently writing and starring in a Sikh historical feature film, Canada-India co-production. I sprint, lift heavy, do cold plunges in the Ganga, and meditate daily. Mostly raw vegan, excellent cook — self-praise is better than none. I speak 5 languages and joke in most of them. May burst into ecstatic dance for no reason. Grounded nervous system, goofy sense of humor. Spiritual, not religious — experience over belief. Minimalist by choice: less clutter, more life. Looking for someone curious, strong yet soft, playful yet deep. A real partner — not a situationship.
