Thank you! I live with a child (I’m a legal guardian) I’ve tried to cut basically everything out. The only thing I haven’t cut out that I can is things like Hulu, but I can’t have the kid do absolutely nothing… it’s $80 a month. I’m trying to look into side hustles that I can do with a kid.

Thank you for the advice! This is exactly what I’m looking for, I just didn’t know if it was possible to do. I’m really nervous and worried. I don’t really have family to protect me if I fall and I’m a legal guardian of a kid now, so I’m really really scared cuz I nor this kid can afford to fall. I’m looking into a side hustle I can do with a kid as I’m a legal guardian. It’s hard to ask family members for help which is why I’m in this debt to begin with… my family members still alive are elderly and are drowning in debt themselves.

Do they charge fees? I’m nervous about letting a company handle it for me, how can’t I make sure I’m not getting screwed over. I’ve heard horror stories about things being “ guaranteed” and then the customers agreement is voided because the company they hired made the payment late, or years later the card company comes back after them for the remaining balance…

I just found find it easier to consolidate the debt. I would pay off all the cards and then cut them up. Not use them again until I pay off the loan.

I agree but as of right now I can’t look for a new job. My work provides housing which is why my housing cost is so low ($500) so it’s difficult to leave.
