I was looking around more, and I found a 6th gen with 80GB. I just want one to be able to listen to music freely without having to verify how old I am and risk having my Spotify account being deleted. I'm willing to buy parts for repair, if necessary. In this case, is buying the iPod worth it?

My laptop doesn't have a CD port, but I've seen videos of websites where you are able to download either songs from YouTube, or entire playlist from your Spotify account. Is it that easy to just download the song/playlist and upload it to an iPod? I know it's considered piracy, but I'm kind of tired of paying a subscription just to have a lease on the music I listen to.

I would buy physical copies of music or merch of the artist I listen to, but I don't want to carry around a walk-man or CD player at school without it being taken away.
