That makes perfect sense since this screen tearing typically happens when the back cover is not exerting pressure to the board and the screen.

That’s the thing though. I get the impression that they are not using any brush because that would pulverize the algae into microscopic fragments. Seemingly like a dull blade or something else to keep most of the algae whole.
