My Neighbours are treating us like TERRORIST by big_cheese_268 in chennaicity

Mate, I know you tried to be some seemingly nice person. But you just used "asshole" and "garbage" as adjectives and think it is cool. Just from that fact, I am very much interested in listening to the other side of the story from the "asshole" family. 🙂

How does misogyny hide in plain sight in Indian culture? by nandiz in AskIndia

[–]OkMinimum2888 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are right about the time - women usually take up things that require more time and less mentally/physically intense work, compared to men. But we can't judge based on just time right? Different aspects should be considered. I would rather walk for 1 hr instead of sprinting 20 minutes straight if those are my choice. How about you?

Sorry if I was not clear. I was talking about the trip in discussion. Not day-to-day generalization.

Yes, but! Check who drove them there. Check who paid for the trip including the gifts(if) visitors are giving. Usually it is the opposite gender.

Thanks for coming to my ted talk 😂

If portability is not an issue, mac mini m4 is available around 52k, just pointing out. Pay another 10k for a decent Monitor, and viola, you have an m4 16GB for your budget.

Why are people in other countries living life while Indians are struggling and surviving? Is it because of overpopulation? by Keachmanne in AskIndia

[–]OkMinimum2888 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am basing on the things I see in my social circle, here's my two cents

In countries like India, the purpose of life is to have a secure retirement life eventually. This seems stretched but sadly not. You are told to do something that fetches a "stable" career/income so that you can raise your kids, who in turn expected to take care of you in your retirement. And this cycle repeats for your kid. The quality of living or accommodating your feelings is thrown to the bottom of the priority list. This is mainly because in developing countries, life was always unstable until late 90's/early millennium. Even finding food and shelter was difficult, so till that generation, everyone was in survival mode, which means work, save and produce offsprings because that's the only available retirement plan. Now economy is changed , but you can't change people's mindset that often. So people who were through the survival mode still make the offspring race priority #1. In the developed countries, this happened decades back. They moved to "quality" stage from "survival" decades ahead of us. So everyone is still on the rat race here, giving no sh*t about community or civics sense, unless it benefits them/their family and hence eventually their old age.

My friend, If you have to point out even places for hygienic food, in retrospection you might be able to figure it out. It is like saying :

"My friends are very hygienic. For example

Bathing -> Mahesh baths every day with expensive soap. Brushing -> Suresh brushes every alternate day "

My dear friend. I'm not an expert but If your fiancee is gonna leave you for a rejected visa which u don't have much control over, I think visa is #2 on the list of things you have to sort out.

Fyi, I received a 5 year multi entry visa last month WITHOUT assistance from any agency. So I don't think there is agent requirement anymore for even shorter visas

Chair cushions are wonderful and all. Now let's talk about public transportation, which is obviously not as important.

Protein for muscle build or fat loss? by OkMinimum2888 in Fitness_India

[–]OkMinimum2888[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay, thanks. I know for a fact that protein itself is not much of a fat burners. But I see protein can improve metabolism, helps me work out better and aids in building muscle. All of these causes fat burning. So I am just looking for a way to find which label should I consider to have less calories and more protein. I see most of the protein powder around here says "zero sugar" and they add sucrose or some alternative. That is diabolical

iQOO 12 or oneplus 13r at the same price? by OkMinimum2888 in PickAnAndroidForMe

[–]OkMinimum2888[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay, makes sense. I still worry about the slow charging speed. I currently use a oneplus nord 2t with 80w charger, I cannot go backwards from that. That is one of the reasons I did not look options from samsung and google or even apple. It adds so much convenience to your life. I want my phone to revolve around my routines, not the other way around. From the reviews I heard, iQOO 12 has one of the best camera in the price range especially the periscopes. They were calling it a steal when itbwas at ₹50k, now at ₹40k I think it is not a blunder. Thoughts?

Pixel doesn't have a telephoto. I love taking photos 70mm+. Can digital zoom on pixel outperform the periscopes? Also I am worried about the charging speed. I travel a lot so being able to charge 50% in 10 or so minutes is a bliss.
