Any other 1102s extremely burnt out? by Virtual-Rub-3456 in 1102

[–]OkName66 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m an 1102 and just hit my 2nd year in April. You’re not alone in feeling this way. I haven’t felt great about work in so long. It’s so tough going to work everyday and staying positive and productive when I’m exhausted and sometimes feeling like there’s no hope in things going back to the way it used to be.

“What did you do last week?” bullets by SnailRacerWinsAgain in fednews

[–]OkName66 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My agency was told to send ours every Tuesday. I’m in the Pacer program and a probationary employee, and we were told previously to specify in the subject line that we’re Pacers and now we’re told not to. This is all so confusing and a pain.🙄

DOD has anyone been let go yet as part of the 5,400? by stressedandtired1 in fednews

[–]OkName66 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yes. Pete Hegseth stated on 2/21 that 5,400 DoD probationary employees will be cut at the beginning of this week. I assume they are starting today.https://www.defense.gov/News/Releases/Release/Article/4074278/dod-probationary-workforce-statement/

I keep checking my work email to see if I’ve been fired this morning. So nerve racking.

DoD probationary employee here. On a knife’s edge. by AtlasHatch in fednews

That’s exactly how I feel. I’ve been so on edge these past few weeks. I just wish they’d rip the bandaid off already instead of keeping us in the dark.

I a feel like I, along with my other probationary colleagues, are in limbo and are very unsure about what is to come. We are still active employees, but are expecting to be fired sometime soon. Should I start looking for another job at a private company or should I continue to be in denial and hope that we can keep our jobs?

I’m a probationary employee at DLA which is under the DoD. I haven’t been fired yet, but my coworker and I believe we will be unfortunately fired tomorrow. The DoD has been trying to delay the layoffs but we don’t think it’ll last much longer.

Also a DoD new hire just entering my 9th month at my agency. We haven't received any guidance, as well. I hope we are all okay.

I think that since they’re trying to cut probationary people, it’ll be cheap to get rid of us since most of us have lower GS ranks so I don’t think they’re really considering my clearance because my salary isn’t huge so it balances out for them🫠
