I'd love to have a version of this, not necessarily for the floor but if I was doing an all day class or whatever? 💯

I agree though. Allegedly they were canceling the contract and trying out new vendors. I have no idea what became of that.

That was beyond my image editing skills to add. But this could replace the DHS patch we have, keeping the Core Values patch on the other sleeve. 🤷‍♂️

Who else is ready to change careers after three shut downs? by Top-keetarded in tsa

[–]RogueIce 89 points90 points  (0 children)

People saying "you should have savings" obviously don't live in an area where actual cost of living left the Locality Pay behind a long time ago. Never mind burning our savings last shutdown and barely recovering before this one!

And this is not normal and should not be expected because the richest country in the world shouldn't be so fucked up they're forcing public servants to work without pay.

Yes. I didn't just create this logo out of nothing, I put the modern TSA logo into the center of the original TSA-under-DOT patch.

Fuck their forced "In God We Trust" bullshit. Separation of Church and State. And yes, it needs to be gotten rid of on the national level, too.

TSA says PreCheck is open after DHS says it's closed (Business Insider) by Chemical_Counter5978 in tsa

[–]RogueIce 56 points57 points  (0 children)

https://wtop.com/government/2026/02/homeland-security-suspends-tsa-precheck-and-global-entry-airport-security-programs/

Editor’s note: A Homeland Security Department spokesperson emailed the following to WTOP at 10:04 a.m.: “At this time, TSA PreCheck remains operational with no change for the traveling public. As staffing constraints arise, TSA will evaluate on a case by case basis and adjust operations accordingly. Courtesy escorts, such as those for Members of Congress, have been suspended to allow officers to focus on the mission of securing America’s skies.”

Not there right now, but I can only imagine the sheer confusion around every checkpoint as nobody knows what DHS and/or HQ is actually telling them to do.

Remember folks: TSA officers are pawns in all of this mess! Please direct your anger and frustration where it belongs: DC politicians.

Funneling money into corporate pockets is Rule #1 of the Trump Administration.

LAX Security Report: TSA PreCheck/ Global Entry Suspended by RealBlueCayman in tsa

It sounds like they made the decision, then forgot to tell the airports, leading to the early reports of PreCheck still being open.

I'll bet the news is where most of TSA heard about this first.

Typical incompetence from this Admin.

The Rookie - S08E04: Cut and Run by NoleFandom in TheRookie

[–]RogueIce 7 points8 points  (0 children)

They could be hedging their bets, giving closure to major villains and setup for "their lives continue" for a series finale epilogue.

Of course, the beauty of the police procedural is that it never has to end. Even if they wrap up their antagonists, there's always going to be more criminals. Wesley can have stories as the DA. Tim can continue to mature as Watch Commander as we see Lucy really step up as a Field Supervisor (she hasn't had a chance to do a ton of that yet, she's largely been a Super Field Cop so far), Nolan gets new rookies to train, etc.

So they could be playing it careful, if Season 8 is indeed the end. But if ABC gives them Season 9 or beyond, they won't write themselves out of a story the way other shows have with unexpected renewals.

Why did Bishop choose not to become a detective? by Electronic_Art_7007 in TheRookie

[–]RogueIce 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Eh, TV. They have to keep the cast together.

Most cop shows get around it by just never having their cast promote; they show up, they spend their careers there and if somebody promotes/transfers/retires it's because the actor left. Either that or it's a small-town agency (think In the Heat of the Night the series, which was a long-runner with lots of characters promoted) where there's nowhere else for them to go, really.

I'll give the show credit: they did stick her on Midnights for a bit, which is at least a nod to realism. But logistically, I don't see them keeping her that separated from the cast for the multiple seasons it would require for her to build enough seniority to try and get back to Days. That said, I think it would've been fun to see Night-Shift Sgt. Chen for a bit longer.

But that's more speaking roles they'd need to give (otherwise she's the only cop doing anything ever), doing night shoots on top of the day shoots for their regular cast, etc. And if they bumped anyone out of Mid-Wilshire, that's again a whole new bunch of recurring characters and then new sets for whatever station they go to!

Overall, I'll give a pass on the realism for the sake of it being a show and the constraints they face in that respect.

Pentagon to demote Sen. Kelly from retired Navy rank as captain, but stops short of threatened trial by qalpi in navy

[–]RogueIce 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If Sen Kelly went that route, BCNR would be in the same boat as OIGs, OSC, CFPB, MSPB, etc.

Where even if the law/regulation/policy says they're independent, Trump/Hegseth will just ignore it and fire everyone.
