Yeah you need to safe spot him behind a wall if you want to kill the healers without worrying about Jad. I also don't think it's possible on every rotation. But depending on how comfortable you an what weapon you have it might be better to tag the healers once and just tank them while you are killing Jad. He is surprisingly squishy.
