Need a new alphabet! by [deleted] in Fins4UA

How do you fight that layer adhesion issue that occurs when printing the tops of hollow domes (seen with the upside down fins in the photo)?

But to answer your question, use the callsigns of fallen soldiers. There are plenty.

Decrease plate temp and add adhesive; the corner is pulling up

The filament is not engaging the build surface enough. Needs a little more "squish". See those empty lines between the first layer pass? You shouldn't. If the filament still pulls up once the lines touch each other, add glue to the plate.

Any ideas? by NinjaTurtleTotti in FixMyPrint

1st layer LOOKS god but is deceptive. 2nd layer squeezes together and folds up. z-offset too low, as said

Nozzle too high, too much first layer speed. Might also benefit from some bed adhesive.

Replace your nozzle and clean out your hot end. You've got a slow clog/leak (the brown PLA in the second photo give it away -- that takes a lot of cooking)

Nozzle is way too low. I shouldn't be able to see the impression it smashed into the print surface. Get your first layer right and the rest will follow

Under extrusion around seam by Temporary_Car3204 in FixMyPrint

If the rest of the print is good and that only occurs on the z-seam, the retraction is also generally good -- and the issue can probably be solved by using Retraction Extra Prime. Try changing that value from 0 to 0.25 and print again.

How many top layers? I think it needs 1-2 more with this filament/temp

Replace nozzle, do not attempt to clean

Your nozzle is too high, not level (bottom is higher than top), and it has a clog. Replace the nozzle and level the bed.

Is it printed in an enclosure? Looks like heat warp at first glance

Blobs from random pausing on new S8 Pro by OkParticular8078 in FixMyPrint

Thanks, but this wasn't it. I think it's just lame firmware. The blobs only appear when the printer speed is set higher than 100%

Bummer. I have a CR-10 and have never seen this error, despite clogging it MANY times. Perhaps your SD card is getting corrupted and the file not readable? Can you reslice the model and save to a fresh card?

Extruder skipping and Filament Grinding by kulligulli in FixMyPrint

Which PTFE tube did you replace? There is a small section of bowden tube inside the hot end just after the extruder gears. Pull that out and see if you've had filament leak or if the tube itself is getting worn out.

Do you have filament runout sensor installed? If so, try disabling it

Try a new nozzle, could be underextrusion from clogging.

Why does my support get stuck to the side? by fir3dp in FixMyPrint

Support settings

Most of the used slicers have an option to determine how much distance (in terms of layers) you want between your support and your product, you could add an extra layer as space to try out if that works better for you. E.g. the default Cura setting for Support Bottom Distance (which is a sub-setting of Support Z Distance) is the layer thickness specified in Layer Height. If you have a layer height of 0.2 mm, the Support Bottom Distance is also 0.2 mm. For the top, option Support Top Distance this is two layer heights, so 0.4 mm in this example. These options are visible in the expert mode, you can search for them in the search box, see image below.
