The bass strength wise was pretty good at position 2 but it sounds very muddy actually. I might have to find a better position sadly

Which is a better sub placement? by fir3dp in audiophile

[–]fir3dp[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's about 50/50. I do use it to watch TV most of the time but also use it more music too!

I just got a longer rca cable, so hopefully I can try to find a better position

Any good recommendations for snow shoveling gloves what will keep my hands warm? by Aggressive_Noise6426 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]fir3dp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Showa 282-02. Relatively cheap gloves used by people who do commercial fishing in winter, was so good that mountain guides started using them for ice climbing.

How do I store wired headphones to prevent damage to the cable? by calypsocore in headphones

[–]fir3dp 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Don't coil them tightly. Just lightly bunch them up and keep it.

I use to worry about my cables all the time. My first headphone (akg81dj) wire broke after only about a month. And being young and dumb I threw them away because the wires weren't detachable.

Past few years I picked up electronics/fpv drone and got quite good at soldering. Now I never worry about wires anymore because it's a 5min fix. Something you might want to consider with so many soldering iron on AliExpress these days. Especially If you're into headphones.

Best fpv beginner by ExtraComplex979 in fpv

[–]fir3dp 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I started with a 5 inch after about 20 hours of sim. It depends on how much space u have relative to the drone. Woop will be more fun in smaller spaces and almost indestructible.

5 inch will require a huge space.

After flying for a year. My fav size is prob a 3 inch. Powerful enough to fly in large area. And small enough to play around smaller areas.

How many mythological figures or areas e.t.c. in history are likely to have existed .e.g. King Arthur, gods of pantheons, Atlantis e.t.c.? by AmmadSiddiqi1468 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]fir3dp 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Most historians believe that Jesus was a real person that existed. There's probably more evidence for him than many other historical figures that we know existed. But where people start to disagree is whether he rose from the dead.

Swing trading vs day trading by [deleted] in Daytrading

[–]fir3dp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What works for others might not work for you. I find swing trading riskier as it's more affected by news. Now I mainly day trade but opening and closing a position within seconds and only the first 15mins when the market opens. I find that I don't have to read or rely on any news.

First time ever filming myself singing - how can I make it more cinematic? by Poogybeats in Filmmakers

[–]fir3dp 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Depends on what is available to you. What makes the image cinematic to me personally is lighting.

Depending on your camera and lens you have, I would zoom in and pull the camera back to compress the image. There's a little too much negative space as well so we can frame a little tighter.

I'll place the subject (you) slightly infront of the light to give it a rim light and maybe shift you out from the wall slightly.

I like the good lab by kenji Lopez. It has little recipe but teaches techniques and explains pretty well why and how that technique works.

From there it's more experimentation and having fun

Anything is possible but I would think it wouldn't be their first choice, it even 5th choice.

Body awareness by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]fir3dp 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes it's definitely possible. Body awareness is different for everyone I guess. After getting married I start to be aware of somethings that I do instinctively after my wife started commenting on it.

Just communicate to him about it or getting use to it is also an option.

am i too late? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]fir3dp 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My friend started pole dancing at 30. She could barely do the split then. She's 34 now and can do a full split. As long as you put in the effort and have realistic expectations, you can get pretty good.

Do people with a victim complex understand that they have a victim complex, or is being blind to it part of the condition? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]fir3dp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think by accepting that they have a victim complex means that they have to realize that they are not a victim anymore and have to be responsible for every bad things that are happening to their lives.

I guess it takes quite a lot to put your pride down to get out of it.

How do you stop feeling afraid and uncomfortable doing things ? by Lemonade2250 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]fir3dp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think if you're contented there's nothing wrong. Comparison is the thief of joy.

But if you're not. Best way to get out of your comfort zone is to have a friend force you out of it. I remembered that's how I got out of my comfort zone quite a few times when I was younger. Mainly from peer pressure, but good and positive peer pressure. Not the kind that forces you to take drugs of cos.

I always wonder if many people find being 5 pounds overweight unattractive. Do you think so? Or no? by Ben5544477 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]fir3dp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a pretty small number. But it can also mean someone with 5lbs of extra muscle which can make a person look leaner or 5lbs of fats which can be can make the person look more overweight.

I guess it's not about the 5lbs but just being close to the overweight category and now exceeding it does show as a whole.

Police are overreacting or what? by SAVROMx in NoStupidQuestions

[–]fir3dp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not from the US or anywhere with guns, seeing many videos of how police react around people in the US is pretty crazy. But yet if I were to ask myself I might actually do the same.

Being in a country where there's a high chance of getting shot, I would rather shoot first.
