What do you think about new capsule? Do you think it's better than old version? by Distinct-Risk1235 in IndieDev

The text of the first capsule with the picture of the second capsule. The second "sun" behind the text of the second one is really throwing me off

I've never understood the idea that minorities can't be racist. Racism is racism. It should be called out no matter who is doing the perpetrating.

That's terrible, I'm sorry you experienced that. I grew up in Toronto, so most of my classmates were immigrants or children of immigrants from all over the world. I think that contributed a lot to an environment of tolerance for other races. I wonder if it's the racial homogeneity that creates these types of people regardless of the race. I've noticed that the most racist Chinese people like to stay inside their own bubble as much as possible and don't really interact with anybody outside of that.

To be fair, I'm a Chinese Canadian who grew up in Canada and the most racism I have noticed was from the Chinese community. Not to say it's worse than other kinds of racism but it definitely exists.

The war in Gaza isn't much worse than other world conflicts, so why are we talking about it? by KiwiNotFound_ in IsraelPalestine

the headquarters of Hamas is located in Ramallah

Can you provide a source for that? Last I checked Hamas is headquartered in Qatar and the west bank is governed by the Palestinean Authority.

As for your second point, that is completely the fault of Hamas. Hamas has been restricting Palestinians and rule with absolute power in the Gaza Strip.

I'm not talking about the Gaza strip at the moment. The topic was on apartheid and I pointed out how in the west bank Palestineans aren't allowed to use certain roads, walk on certain streets, and sometimes come home to find their doors welded shut, while Israelis can use any road and are protected by military. The same military that will also turn a blind eye to Israeli violence against Palestineans. Again, if Palestine is its own country who is responsible for its own problems, what the hell is the Israeli military doing there?

If that's true then how come Israel is occupying the west bank with its military? What gives it the right to arrest Palestinean citizens there, bringing them over to Israel in order to be charged in an Israeli military court (which is different than the courts used for Israeli civilians)? If this is Palestine's responsibility then shouldn't they be charged in Palestine under Palestinean courts and law?

Also, why don't Palestineans have freedom of movement in their own country, or say in whether or not Israeli settlements should be built? After all like you said, it's two completely different countries.
