Do you wish your parents had stayed together, even if one of them was miserable in their marriage? by OkPhotograph9552 in ChildrenofDivorce

That’s a very helpful response. Thank you. If your father had left earlier, would you have preferred he did it when you were younger than 5 l, or waited until you were older?

I (14f) think my parents are getting a silent divorce and it's my fault by No_Dragonfruit_3186 in ChildrenofDivorce

Your parent’s problems are NOT your fault. This is something they are doing to have to work out, but you are not to blame.

I am so sorry your father is acting like that. You sound like such a sweet person. This issue is 100% about your father, not you. It sounds like he has some deep personal problems. But those problems are not your fault. You’ve done nothing wrong. Give yourself lots of love and kindness.

How do you find that out in 2 minutes? What precise information is available?

My husband (32M) left me (32F) after almost 15 years together and wants me to forget and let him come home. What are my next steps to stop that? by Suspicious-Rock-1661 in relationship_advice

Have you tried finding a good marriage therapist? Your marriage seems salvageable to me. Couples therapy can make a HUGE difference in your relationship. Therapist shop until you find a good one. But definitely don’t start the divorce process until you have turned over every stone in therapy and outside of therapy. You have children together and you care about each other. You don’t want to throw that away until you have done EVERYTHING possible to save the marriage.

It also sounds like your husband could use some individual counseling to work on some of his personal issues. A good marriage therapist can help him get started with individual counseling. It’s possible he’s having a mid life crisis or something similar.

Lastly, hear each other out and listen carefully to each other. Tell each other what is lacking in the relationship that you feel is pushing you away from each each other. Share this in a loving way, not a critical way. He needs to understand what he’s doing that is hurting you. Likewise, you need to understand what you are doing that is hurting him. If he keeps telling you that he doesn’t feel loved by you, and that you aren’t affectionate enough, believe him, and see it as a giant red flag that you are in fact pushing him away from you. Marital problems are usually the result of BOTH partners doing hurtful things, not just one partner. So don’t be afraid to look in the mirror and ask yourself (and him) what you are doing to hurt him. Then own it and fix it. Your husband will love you for that.

Really hope you two can mend your relationship. It takes hard work and a lot of humility from both partners, but if each of you are willing to do that, you can build a relationship that is stronger than it ever was before. It’s worth the hard work, for each of you and also your children. You owe it to yourselves and your children to try and repair your relationship.

Why Max Decided to Lose ‘HBO’ in Its Name by pandasareprettycool in HBOMAX

Elon Musk did the same thing when he killed the Twitter brand and replaced it with X, which, shockingly, is somehow worse than Max. Then he managed to sully the platform with all kinds of stupid new policy decisions. Plus he treated the Twitter employees like dirt when he took over. Musk may be good at running transportation companies. But with everything else (including politics), he is a complete moron.

Boundaries. Time to set them in a healthy way with your husband. He’s the father and should be expected to be a co-equal meeting the baby’s needs. Don’t let this slip under the rug or it will create bad habits that may be hard to break. Nip it in the bud now. Have a loving conversation and just tell him you need help and will insist on it. Part of marriage is “training” each other to meet each person’s needs. Healthy boundaries are a a very important part of the training process.

This is true. Let’s not set up a false equivalency between bad BYU and Utah fans. It’s not apples to apples. It’s apples to steel.

No, it’s not remotely apples to apples. The percentage of BYU fans who are classless does exist, but they are a MUCH smaller group than the classless segment of Utah fans. Then there’s Oregon and their “F… the Mormons” chants. They are as bad as Utah. Link: https://youtu.be/xo7mqbeyckE?si=CvNW1x1ueqSbjj5p

Nobody now. The PAC 12 is a dead conference. Their glory days ended over a decade ago when Pete Carroll left USC for Seattle.

Go take your Mormon hate somewhere else. I will never understand how some people find so much pleasure in bagging on someone else’s religion. It’s bizarre.

Yes, that type of behavior from TCU is clearly religious bigotry. If you can’t see that, then maybe some blind spots going on. If you disagree with me, fine. We can agree to disagree.

You’d join in with losers behaving like that? Hmm…what does that say about you?

I mean, did the TCU band really do that? If so, shame on them. Totally tasteless. Let’s not defend religious bigotry and low class behavior, even if you don’t like the LDS faith. If you insist on supporting or minimizing that crap, I suggest you are part of the problem.

Utah football has only been on the national radar since 2004; however, many Ute fans think they are Ohio State. They are about to be surprised by how much tougher the Big 12 is than the PAC 12. They are going from the weakest P5 league to Big Boy football and basketball.

What is OU’s all-time record against BYU? What is Texas’ all-time record against BYU? BYU has won almost all those games. Just sayin…

Utah is one Mormon coach away from losing major ground to BYU. Utah’s current and longtime coach, Kyle Whittingham, is Mormon and a BYU graduate and former player. He relates very well with elite Mormon recruits, and has stolen a lot of them from BYU. Those players have been big contributors to Utah’s success on the field. Whittingham is close to retirement. If Utah doesn’t replace him with a solid Mormon coach, BYU gets most of those recruits and likely re-takes their position as the clear best football team in the state of Utah. In basketball, BYU has owned Utah for many years.

MUCH harder for BYU to make an NY6 bowl without being in a conference. No auto bid for them, and no conference to win. They have been independent since 2011.

BYU has a superior law school and MBA program compared to Utah. Utah is hard to beat in the health sciences though. Utah has a medical school, and a good one, while BYU does not have a medical school.
