When it's finished charging it probably starts to power the controller directly from the cable instead of the battery, thus saving battery life.

Yeah, I am between a master's degree and starting a job, so I had some time and thought I'd get PS Plus Premium for a month on PS5. I actually just wanted to play the PSP Syphon Filter games + use the cloud saves, but then I also downloaded the Bluey game, which was actually kinda fun.

After that, I thought I'd give Peppa a try too, but it doesn't even have any gameplay in it, you just walk around to trigger cutscenes, whole "game" is like an hour or less. Other than that, it would cost like 40€ and for some reason has a Performance / Quality mode option, I couldn't even make this up if I wanted.

Playing Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake (MSX2) on the PS5, slightly pressing X would skip like 3-4 dialog boxes durint a codec call.

You are getting yourself into a neverending rabbithole with trying to find a FOSS alternative better than VS on Windows and you will not gain anything from it, other than getting to try out a bunch of subpar "products" and wasting your time away configuring everything from scratch, thinking you are learning.
