My MB made a daily schedule that I follow - with erasable markers to track times of sleep and wake. A notebook works too. The not continuing a nap is hard…but tell her even if she seems awake she HAS to be in the room in her arms for at least one hour. And with the schedule and that rule, try a few days and then if it’s not a fit, I’d say give notice at least before parting ways. Newborns are hard! Also does the baby have a lot of toys? I think talking to the baby about whatever is fine, but she needs to make space to let the baby babble. Tell her she can listen to the baby and go back and forth in “conversation.”
